I once asked for more than what was given.
Back in a time where little thought was put in liven.
So young and innocent I was and ignorant.
My naivety was thick and quite poignant.
I asked my mother for more and more
and she never asked me what for.

I love my mother and what she has done.
She's imperfect but loved her "perfect" son.
The truth is I can see it clearly now.
A mother's love deserves a bow.
Through it all I never knew
how much hell she was going through.

She showed me later, the lines on her wrists;
The feeling brewed so quickly in my fists.
She told me she was so sad the early time
but pulled herself together through the grime,
because she loved her children to the bone
and couldn't bare the thought of leaving them alone.

I don't know how to compete with her.
A love so pure eyes always blur.
She still trys her best for her kids,
until the day she closes those eyelids.
I just keep hoping for another year
before her time comes near.
You will never read this, but I love you mom. I tell you all the time but those words never seem to do any justice.

Sweet William,
I've done heard it all be-fore,
You got the looks, got the hair,
             that clever draw and more...

But sweetie here I am again,
Got Momma here, -crying again.
Wrecked-up face, my map of men,
This time so bad, lad, -you ain't fixin'

William!
    My sweet Will-i-am,
William!
    My sweet Will-i-am,

...you ain't gonna hit me no more.

Some love is hard/borders on sin,
Crying to God, please A-men?
Goodbye door, my bags packing,
Well-heeled feet, living A-gain,

William!
    My sweet Will-i-am,
William!
    My sweet Will-i-am,

...you ain't gonna hit me no more.

SWEET WILLIAM!
    Sweet William,

Hurting no, -no more...
Call me up- 'ev-er-y' night
Devil at My door,
Battle yourself/I'm not your fight.

...you ain't gonna hurt me no more.

The deer stay in herds
but some do wander alone.
I wander alone.

I remember a tender entry way.
On one side there where flowers and blue skys
and the other a bustling street way.
I did enjoy the quiet peace out there
and the experiences of the earth,
but city life also has its virtues.
So many people that may pass you by,
and so many people to get to know.
It's a whole world where ever you may go,
so take it all in because life is short.
Travel to any rail, road, or seaport.
Grow, and show that humanity is here.
Show, that there is nothing for them to fear.

I know a river,
narrow and out of the way;
Let me lay and rest.

To mind the journey that takes me far,
a journey to mind the sorrow and pain.
The journey of mind from earth to star,
a mind in journey to the insane.
A journey of wealth and of color
designed to mind the fragile of heart,
but the fragile of mind are blind to the other;
Sent on a journey back to the start.

Slowly the vibrant colors wither
and a leaf falls, silently, like a feather.
A leaf, no maudlin object, yet clear
it shows to us that it is coming near.
A feather, bright white, absent of color
yet is very beautiful like no other.
Slowly the colors fade and all become white…
from a world full of color, and spite.
