Little Bear
I had to write it
right then
nothing would stop the flow
out of my mouth
whirlpools of imagination
my vision drenched with words
running over and over the brim
it was pouring out
spilling onto the floor
puddles at my feet
find me a pen
I need a pen
write it write it out
on the back of napkins
scraps of paper
margins
envelopes
skin
write it while the river flows
while the deluge pours
while the words still make scense
find me a pen
I need to write
I will never remember it the same way
the same way it saturates my clothes
my skin
panic and euphoria
fear and excitement
write it out
write it out
find me a pen
before it's too late
before it's gone
Despite having more reading books in my bag
than any person in their right mind should,
I have learned never to be without
a note book and a pen.

Pea
waiting
 Apr 2016 Nikita
Pea
the longer i wait,
the amount of questions
about why i have come
to love you triples
and i don't have
the answers anymore

the longer i wait,
the more i question myself
if waiting for you
is still the only
worthwhile thing
that's ever mattered
to me

the longer i wait,
i learn about myself more
and that the ticking clock
behind me would
eventually speed up
to the time
i will be able to hear
from you
again

and i no longer have to wait
for the meantime

On my better days
My watery eye rests
Somewhere between dream and imagination
And I am aware of a gentle ocean
Swinging into lazy waves
Slapping each other softly
As a bright white yacht
Slips serenely and silently
Through this accommodating sea
As long as the planet breathes
And air becomes wind
Or even breeze enough
To fill the glowing sails
The yacht keeps gliding
Blithely forward
But that's on my better days

Streams of dust
through an endless expanse.
I am the universe.
My first attempt at a haiku. I hope you like it!

farewell tears
falling to the ground --
autumn leaves
Repost -- because I can't say it any better
