I remember
                   faking sleep
just to count your breath
                    memorizing
all the details
of your face-

your               eyebrows
your lips, and the mole
on your
                           cheek

trying to find                         peace
between the strands
of your h a i r , along
with the rhythm
of your
h  e  a  r  t  b  e  a  t
                               that lulls me
                                                  to sleep.
I miss you

Listen to the aye-sayers;
Pay heed to the nay-sayers
For point and counter-point;
As Lear did with his fool,
As we did once in school.
Hear the sycophants and flatterers,
The realists and truists;
But in the end what matters,
Is the voice between your ears,
The sooth-sayer of future years.

You share too listen
We have two ears two eyes and one mouth, the answers are all around.
