Ignatius Hosiana May 2016
Is the book too detailed beyond
the cover's revelations? Are there
some topics hidden too deep,
aspects that need vivid
reading to understand...
Or are you the open book,
every detail etched
on the cover.
Must I flip through all pages
or does the title
"You get what you see"?
say it all? Are you what
my eyes think you are
or there's pretty
much more to the
untold story than
can be revealed
by a single
cover?

What do you see?
What do you think of me?
Honors student, violinist
Maybe a future scientist
You'd never guess
When we'd first meet
That the girl I am
Is more than the one you greet
Get to know me
And you might see
The true person beneath
The apearance bequeathed

brown eyes are underrated I've always thought
but never knew till I met you
they made me feel what even blue crystal eyes could never do
his brown eyes had a familiar feel, like that book you once remembering reading
they make me feel like I've found home
how beautiful is the language of the eyes
I found something special lurking there inside
so genuine, so real, a more realistic painting of the surreal
so i here encourage the notion brown eyes are an overlooked jewel
i say this with certainty as I'm staring straight at you
