It all came to halt...

The battle cries;
The swinging swords;
Cleaving halberds;
Even death's opening doors.

It all came to a complete stop.

Enemies from both sides, frozen in time.
All looking towards him.
The man shining brightest with hate and honor.
No, not the hero.
Instead the mighty warrior,
With an ode to a king to claim the sacred lands.

Arrows arching, painting the sky black.
Red rivers running, beneath the bodies of the fallen.
Burning; burning; burning smoke, filling the air.
The smell of death hanging near.

He changed that day.
The day he turned on his rage.

Legend insists to say.
He was the reason they won the war that day.
I've been playing way too many video games...

I don't want to make another one,

But I guess it will never be avoided

So I won't repeat and come back to what I've done

But I'm about to make a new one

Heard a pastor once said

"Have more mistakes if you can,

rejoice if you have more failures.

For you will learn and grow from it."

Too tired to fall asleep,
I stared at a vivid flickering screen
And forced myself to eat.

1:15 a.m to 4:45 a.m
The hours- I didn't notice them,
But asleep I almost fell.

I dragged myself into slumber
And into a trance I clambered,
The blinding darkness I remember.

I awoke moments later
Under my demons' satire,
Stuck in a crater.

Everything was a blur
Four walls were six saboteurs,
And colours astir.

All attempts to cry for help
And get away from a faint death knell,
Just shoved me deeper into my shell.

Uselessly trying to move around,
My gasps were so profound
And I could hear the deafening sound.

I tasted my own fear
And flung it with tears,
The end must have been near.

The agitation was intense
Sweat ran down by head
And negativity within me spread.

I was trapped inside myself,
To a gust of wind against my chest
I almost succumbed to be at rest.

And then I ran as fast as I could,
Although blind, I said I would
Escape this maddening noose.

Silenced screams were now heard
And out loud I said "cursed"
I was finally free from paralysis unheard.

You're gritting planets between your teeth,
crushing stars beneath your feet,
stripping galaxies of light,
you blackhole goddess you.
Have you ever heard a human's beating heart?
How do you see art?
How do you see the little mediocre things
us mortals have crafted for you?
Oh, kiss the Earth--the tiny Earth--
the speck with which you've moulded
every bead of your eternal necklace!
Kiss my life, kiss my being,
kiss me 'til I bleed enough
to write morality in songs!

I thought You weren't there
I prayed for comfort and You were silent
I cried in the corner and have to feel alone
There's no one to turn to but myself
Hated myself, others, and the world

But You worked in mysterious ways, this now I know
Haven't noticed how well I am now
I carried my burden and got through with it
Accepted the hurt so I could learn
Bled the wounds and let them heal through time

You gave me more than what I wished for
Looking back to those scars reminds me how broken I am
Thankful for how I got them badly and for how ugly they are
Because this smile won't be in my lips today
If I haven't suffered from them
Realized now that You wouldn't give what I can't bear
