I thought I did finally find it, the place I close my eyes and see
the valley;
filled with the greenest grass that's just the right height
so you can run without scraping your knees
Every day I spent in awe, wandering
exploring those hidden wonders
the creek for example, three miles south
or the collection of fairy rings a little farther down.
It was everything. It was mine.

One day I decided to head to the creek,
stick my feet in and see how deep.
At once I was ****** in,
the water was fast, ice cold,
the bottom was no where to be found
I spiraled out of control until
at last I was spit out.
I thought it would be okay then,
but that was the beginning of the end.

The valley was never the same in my eyes,
the sky was less blue, the grass hurt my knees
I walked aimlessly about, finding nothing new
the valley I thought stretched on forever
just ran in loops.
With nothing left to do, I'd head to the creek
dip my toes in just to see if it would happen again;
Without fail I'd be ****** in,
before I'd drown it'd spit me back out.

Eventually I stopped going back to the valley
I stayed by the creek,
dipping my toes,
getting ****** in
cold, wet, dizzy and close to death
before I'd be spit back out
and repeat;
I loved the valley at one point in time,
but I can't escape the creek.
this isnt a eulogy for the antichrist
this isn't the garden, this isn't saturday late nights out on the pier, downing beers and a pint of something stronger.
you, infinite, at the center of it all
and my universe in sync.
i can taste the beer on your breath
the kind of mint you never want to try
(i hope you'll kiss me anyway)
whoa it kind of rhymes a little bit that's new
The moment you realize
This is a journey you control.
You had me at "Goodbye",
For it was then that I knew
I'd never find someone like you again.
Your reckless nature,
your careless soul,
unbridled spirit
It drove me crazy.
I could hardly stand a moment when you were near
and when you were around
I wanted so badly for you to be gone.
What I hated the most about you,
is that it was the reckless nature,
it was
the careless soul,
and
the unbridled spirit
that sent me repeatedly head over heels for you.
Love doesn't exist, don't get me wrong.
But what you made me feel,
lived up to the legend of love.
So,
Gone are the days
Gone is the reckless nature,
gone is the careless soul
and gone is the unbridled spirit.

You had me at "Goodbye".
have you ever looked out the window while it rained?
really makes you wonder right?
what its like to be a rain drop
one in millions of others
landing in an unfamiliar location
alone
all that just to be dried back up in the air
repeating the cycle
my name is Devin Blazejowski
and i know what its like to be a raindrop
It’s 6:24 on a Thursday morn,
and I can hear the city workmen
carting off the broken pieces
of our throw-away lives,
the stained and ***** secrets
we thought we got rid of so easily
by simply tossing them into those bins
thoughtfully provided for the purpose
But we never think about where it all ends,
our broken pieces and soiled yesterdays,
piled together in a field somewhere,
waiting patiently to become the soil
that nourishes our tomorrow
Wide azure eyes and a goofy grin
Dark brown orbs tinted with sin*
Our spirits may differ
But our souls are twins
-We're the best there's ever been.
