what does it feel like to be held
not by another body
not by a set of limbs, a chest, a chin
but
by another soul

what does it feel like
to see truth in another pair of eyes
instead of hidden intentions
instead of absence

what does it feel like
to hear a familiar heartbeat
resounding next to your own
reaching through skin
through bone
two rhythms
indistinguishable

what does it feel like
to write poems about
a love that exists
If my fate is to love you
From a distance
Then I'll burn for you
Like a star in your night sky
Bright, steady, reliable
Unwavering
Until the end of time.
My heart beats for you,
I adore your smile,
I always think of taking you out for dinner,
But, I hear you eat a lot,
I am afraid my wallet cannot handle the bill.😜

Funny
like a hurricane
you came to me
and made a mess
then left my heart
in shattered pieces
break my heart and you'll see memories of sunset, sunrise, skies in pretty colors, rain and flowers

break my heart and you'll see a map of galaxies

break my heart and you'll see laughter and smiles of children

break my heart and you'll see all of these in shattered pieces

Afternoon and evening rains are signs
our monsoon season is nigh
yet, some wells stay in drought...isolation
can't just clear waters of stagnant emotions

i need water flowing like blood through the veins
water creating brooks below green mountains
been trying to make this water flow, but in vain

when poetry hides, days become a drag
it's like walking without protective clogs
while crossing hanging circles of fog
descending......from towering crags...

A sheathed sword despised,
     the sword unsheathed, slays;
Grace and patience bestowed
     on the rebellion to turn.
The dead returned to life,
     but the living remains dead;
Life shrouded in secrecy,
     lest the dead irrevocably condemned.
and i went on a walk with you
and you outshown every star in the sky
