In her eyes I was glowing
She thought I was a rare find
A diamond in the rough—
No, I am moissanite.

I am never that grand,
Even a thousand painters
Couldn't paint me as they can't
Get inspired with my abstract self.

It would be better to wonder
From a far like looking at that cool car,
Let it not be known
That it is lacking in parts.
when someone's interested in you, yet you know that there's nothing about you that is interesting.

By the thousand roses near Carroll Street,
I feel our eyes can meet, like a moissanite memory.

So let’s turn our jokes into dreams,
Oh, what are you doing to me?
I miss you, I miss you so,
What are you doing to me?

Like the Marie Moonlight, I will lift you
high like the moon White Panda sky,
like prayers of fire, I'll hold you tight.

And when you graduate,
people will cheer your name, my dear,
and your name will never fade,
Yet when you come back to fear,
you can take  my hand, and dance,
feel alive once again.

For like the womb of the morning,
whether seventeen troubles or three,
In time the skies will set everything free -
Just like your candle wishes on April week.

And in the summer and your healing hands,
I'll dance with you like a moissanite memory.

my diamond
lisa Apr 2019
searching and searching
desperately searching
year after year
finally,
you broke the surface
my diamond

your shiny personality
dazzled me
your gifts
wowed me
the endless love
fulfilled me
my diamond

however,
despite the love i gave
i could not break through
your armor
my diamond

turns out
everything was a lie
your "i love you"s
meant nothing
our kisses
our time shared
the secrets i told
meant nothing
to you

you were not a diamond
instead,
a moissanite

faking your way
through life
lying about your family
your health
your education

yet,
i still want you,
my diamond

My eyes are spellbound
by your fascinating frame,
by your hazel eyes
that shine like brilliant moissanite,
by your delightful eyebrows,
your lively pink lips
that I wish to meet
and seep into the music in motion
gravitating my soul
to bright clouds of bliss.

You bring me serenity,
replenish my energy,
instill sweet dreams
in my thoughts,
catching my heart
with the electric verbs
dancing in your fingers,
loving how you infuse me
with unending happiness,
all up in my subconscious mind,
feeling so soft in your shores
of overpowering emotions
taking control of my being.

You are limitless sea
of satisfaction that relaxes me
in the most wondrous ways,
sensually kissing my toes,
stroking me steady and slow,
looking into my eyes,
drowning into my increasing moans,
every ounce of astounding depths.

I’m so vulnerable
in your deep chemistry
of overly excited dreams,
your touch, your taste, your smell,
an awakening of anacreontic equations
boarding my ship, making the romance
rise spontaneously, all inside me,
speaking naughty to me,
poking your tongue out at me,
pummeling me so incessantly
that there was no greater place to be
than to be with you,
feeling you obliterate my nation.
