Once she was called storm
her wrath was pure fury
yet cleansing and vital
her nature can be unforgiving
but she would always settle
At times her calm was just
an illusion
The eye of a systematic
cyclone

Once they called her raven
feeding on dead sheep
coercing with wolves
adorned in mystery
hidden behind her long black hair
whispering messages from the gods

Once they called her firefly
her interal beauty shinned in the darkness
although by day she looked rather average
by night her light was pure inspiration
and many tried to catch her as she passed

Many names
many places
many loves
many decievers

but even at her worst they rendered
her beautiful

she's "Too crazy to live, too rare to die."

And all aspects still live
in my heart and mind
a spirit that never dissipates
with time but morphs
into a new name or kind.
The quote I put into this poem was said by Hunter Thompson. One of the craziest of my idols but I first heard it from a friend whom was saying goodbye to me.Those exact words were his last and I havent seen him since. His nickname for me?...Lunatic.

If you find me in the street
take me home
not that you will know, where home is
but take me home
deliver me to no evail
plug me in turn me on
wake from my interal dream
turn me on
switch me baby on
so I can tell you
I won't be home tomorrow
for I ant no love to give yah any more
do not turn me back off
for battery's not included.

Vanessa Gatley Aug 2014
I can feel the heat
When your near
      Ur that good to me
     Like u that much
     JUst stop being so attractive
All it does is make me nuts
   Over  u
Can't do anything right
                 Beside you
        Heat my interal body
         Meant for you
     Heat my blood
       You do it magically

Dimly lit bedrooms ,
tick, tick, ticking of the digital clock
Any outsider looking in would’ve thought i was insane.

Screaming into my pillows, begging for it to stop
the angonizing interal pain bursting at the seams of my body

I am my own coffin, my own cause of death.
My head is an occupied battleground, fighting a fight that i will continuously lose.
Bloodshed of calming memories replaced with overthinking thoughts.
Bang Bang Banging on my chest.
At the end of the wave, the battleground is empty, countless memories slained.
There is only one sound;
a drained body weeping.
For the breakdown i had last night, i wrote this i attempt to get my feelings out.

Rain rain go away,
Interal chatter please don't stay
Ruining my chances of having a decent day
Chatter chatter chatter
Fogs my thoughts
You're words have no meaning,
No one cares about what you have to say,
Wondering if your hairs okay
Negative thoughts racing,
Chest tightening up,
Heart beat pounding,
Little air received,
When your mind affects you physically,
It's hard to breathe,
Hard to eat ,
Friends?
a distance memory,
for everyday,
this chatter plays
ruining my chances of something interesting to say
This life is such a pain,
Drifting away,
Reality,
Once felt many years ago
The present
A numb dreamy world

Come back to me dear
Don't get lost in tempation
I know it's easy to lose yourself
In the midst of frustration
But now you've drifted too far
And your spirit has fallen
This interal battle
Is becoming way too common
I listen to you talk and
It's like you're a stranger
It's creating an obstacle and
It's putting us in danger
I just want to see that beautiful smile
Back on your face
Because when you're not okay,
I'm not okay and in that time
We are words misplaced
Now we're both lost adrift
Wandering the same empty sea
And when you finally find yourself
That's when I'll find me

Waking up care free enjoying the day off. So much to do so many adventures to go on. Stuff to read and ideas to write. Most of all rest and recharge compose find balance be centered. Sleep in wake up late that all sounds great my interal clock wakes me up early but realizing no work back to sleep deep slumber back in bed. Wake up recharged full of energy. Clean mind free of bad memories. Doing things that haven't been for a while feels good to laugh and smile. Make time for yourself ask what you really want instead of giving into demands putting others first. You like to help others racing the time, so much building up in the back of the mind. Days off free of a routine you get old see things differently. Friends come and go the true ones stay. You'd like to share the world with all but it's your experiences are for you take it to heart but it's not always going to be a part of you. Learn to go without and recompose and adapt to the new never settle always be ready for change. Never settle or get comfortable be ready for the day. Listen to the body mind and soul make time to heal can't always be on the go. Rest is the best once you're compose back at it again. Be free enjoy life for once do not listen to others but set out for your passion let your heart free be you and who you are meant to be. Cut the bad let go of the negative. Your world your way keep focused do what's right your way do what's right time for rest so good nite.

need to swim more
lengthen ma muscles
cool ma brain
float before i hit the drain

need to dive from sweat
into the cool clear deep
snap ma head back into place
sluice the grime offa my soul

float for a small eternity
take a dip to rearrange
ma dna, get in touch with
the primordial me,
osmos some salt, remember
the sea, grow some interal gills
just be just drift, with the tide
be taken not steer,
need to steep and stew and brew...

should i give up
on thoughts of us
as us
and not separate

call it bust
and quit
cause i'm ****
and a liar

stressin, cause i'm guessin
every moment
what you do
on fire

desire
is you
and pleasure falls through
no kiss compares

spring breath, for these winter lungs
your warm lips
the feeling of your hair
as i run my fingers

and share
every thought
even if you don't
or care

i come correct
and direct
straight from the heart
can pour out my chest

what's in my head
is a terminal of tracks
trains rushing past
with no destination

procrastination
and set my interal clock
back, one time last
rescind the old, new revisions

forget what came prior
close your eyes
when you tire
so close them, forever

no coming down now
trying to reach you
through the silence
has me wondering how
they did it in the past
back in the day
"simpler" times
of things denied
ages long of repression
regression, into what we were
like is the fashion of the day

Can only cured through
Confronting it.
