Pick yourself a flower
From the fields
Within my heart,

I make you a promise:
My kind, caring fragrance,
From you,
Will never, ever part.

Pick yourself a berry
From the branches
Of my soul's vine,

My giving, eternal sweetness
Will remain with you forever -
Beyond
The end of time.

Dedicated to my precious family
and friends.

Wishing you all
a very happy new year!
Speak from the heart. The tip of the tongue.
Fly off the cuff, The hip of your gun.
Set scenes apart, a trip to the sun.
Getting High on the huff, the gifting of love.

Speak from the heart, easier said then done.
Treat it like art, Feeding the dread with glum.
Speak from the heart, easier said then done.
Freezing at start, leading the dead with guns.

rose petal lips
candle wax fingertips
never thought the night
would come to this
you ache and you break
give me all I can take
when the evening is falling
it's time to awake

gentle flicker
I miss her I miss her
never thought I'd have
the guts to kiss her
she's the sunshine that weeps
a promise to keep
for the morning is dawning
and it's time for sleep
for El
She was broken, but only her heart was cracked.
Darkness had taken over, pain was seeping in.
How do you fix what you can not see?
She was drowning, she stopped swimming.
She almost gave up...
But one day, everything changed.
The days got brighter, music got louder, her smile got bigger.
She could breathe.
She started to see,
Her pain, fuelled buy her own destruction.
Every drink, every line, every ******* time
She let the darkness in.
She wont let it win.
Not now, not ever.
She put herself back together.
Of sheep there are many
Of shepherds too few
Of wolves there are plenty
Of lions a slew
Yet still only one
Whose pride rock is true
The prodigal sun
All creatures look to
For their chance to see
The earth from his view
So they can be free
From this cage in a zoo
A group of black clouds
gathered,
they had come to be together -
for the blue sky, had sadly,
just passed away,

The Sun
switched its warm,
radiant, bright light off -
paying respect to the memory
of another lost,
perfect Summer's day.

Heaven's gates stood
with arms wide open,
Heaven
flooded the grounds
below
with heavy,
warm tears of rain,

Upon these warm tears stopping,
A delightful,
sensationally bright,
hope-filled,
glowing rainbow
miraculously came forth -
A sign
that Summer's rain—Heaven's warm tears,
were not, at all, in vain.

Do not treat me like a princess
Though I enjoy the pretty things in life
And the joys that money can buy
I know that there is always a price to be paid

Do not treat me like a princess
I may read and write poetry in the morning
With Schubert playing in the background
But let me have a moment with my Scream Queens

Do not treat me like a princess
You may love me and think I am perfect
With all the grace and beauty in the world
But to love is to understand that perfection is a façade

And the truest love of all
Is when you love me
Without my perfection
There is no substitute
                 For hard work;
There is no replacement
                 Of time lost;
There is no time for regrets
                 About mistakes made,
                 Or excuses for failure
                 Of responsibility or duty;
There is no explanation for
                 Blind eyes to beautiful things
                 Or love gone unexpressed;
There is no time for excuses

                                                                                 *There is no time
I've lost too many hours

I met another
Could be
Maybe
What if
Beautiful
Interesting
Kind of young
Woman
With kids

Too bad I am
To well done
Burger burnt straight through
Can’t trust my feeling
Even when I am
Sharing them with you

To many let downs
Rejections
And heartbreaks
To many good poems
About painful mistakes

But she looks so good
That I almost wish I could
Eat her up
While she devours me to

I got a boatload
Of excuses
Like I like my life
Like I like being on the road
Like my dad needs me at home
Like I enjoy my sleep and freedom

But the biggest one
Is that I am just too tired
I don’t want to get my
Hopes up in a twirling parasol
Just to have the umbrella break
And let me get rained on
Again.
