I knew there was a sun
that rose upon the skies each day
Setting in the afternoon
a twilight time display

Daffodils and marigolds
welcoming the spring
Bluebirds in the maple trees
each morning there to sing

Waves upon the ocean
and a moon up in the sky
Stars above that twinkle
as the evening passes by

Mountains in the distance
reaching high into the air
Falling leaves in autumn
and the colors that they share

Early morning snowfall
in a chilly coat of white
Fireflies so playful
on a balmy summer night

I knew there were so many things
yet I could just not see
Until you came into my life
and showed these things to me

And now that I have witnessed
all that nature has to view
Its beauty still does not compare
to what I see in you

She came in like a rolling cloud.
Like raging thunder.
Upon a dark horse; proud.
And wanting only to bring us under.
With destruction on her mind.
She rode her steed forward.
Through the wind.
Through the horror...
She does not stop.
She does not care.
She is made of shadow and wind and teardrops.
And she is here to scare.
We've all met her.
You know that.
For her name is Nightmare.
And she haunts our thoughts

The stars all shine,
every night.
No matter the weather;
they still give light.
Be a star and shine, shine, shine.
Don't ever go dark.
In fact, I think, it's time we blind.

To show love is to allow a glimpse into one's heart.
Their strengths, yes.
But also, sadly, how they can be torn apart.

Do you remember when we went in search of the ocean?
Where you told me of the waves that touched the sky; as if the two were woven?
Do you remember how we walked all that night, trying to reach the damp shore before dawn?
And how I fantasized about the many shades of blue water that was supposed to go on and on?
Do you remember our soft smiles of delight;
when we finally reached it before that early morning light?
Or how we stood side my side,
watching as the sun climbed to the sky, with silver lined in our eyes?
Seeing the sun and the water kiss.
Standing together... it was pure bliss.
We held all my brokenness with two pairs of five;
before scattering my sadness during that beautiful sunrise.
We watched as my sadness got swept up in the waves.
Disappearing forever with all of my pain.
It was on that day that I decided to live.
A life with real meaning and not one of sin.
I never told anyone what happened that day.
How my heart found God and how you showed me the way.
