Meet me in the mandarin sun
Down by bottom bridge
I'll wait for you till sunset comes
And not a minute less
I'll stare into the glistening stream
Maybe hum a lonely tune
The horizon line will be my watch
a yellow tint the falling hand

Meet me where the river ends
And turns into open blue
I'll be laughing to myself
Still waiting where the pine tree standsΒ Β
Oh the orange sun up high
Does get so very low
Don't leave me in the dark this time
Don't leave me there alone

Save the last speck of dying light
with your ghostly silhouette
Oh leave me in the upset sunset
Or leave me lay to waste
