Jul 2014
The sunset glows a golden hue,
Not a white cloud in the sky.
The rain has just passed us
And the wind is waving goodbye.

The storm is still roaring thunder.
Letting us know of its presence.
Thank you for cooling the earth.
The humidity was quite unpleasant.

I stand outside for a smoke,
Feeling the soft cool breeze,
I close my eyes and relax,
I haven’t been this calm in weeks.

As night dawns upon us,
The sun says goodbye.
But beauty isn't gone,
Here comes the night sky.
