Eyes, Like Death
Once, a stranger said-
"You have the most beautiful eyes"-
I said "thank you", but did not compliment back.
She said-
"They remind me of the ocean"-
I said again, "thank you"-
She said-
"I cant swim, so your eyes remind me of death"-
I said again, "thank you"
Still unsure-
Why my eyes reminded her of the sea.
My eyes aren't blue.
My eyes are green.
