I can't say sorry
Or take back the anger I gave you
It's a burden deep in my soul
That needs to depart
You broke me down
Ripped out my heart
And tore it apart

I hope she was worth it
Cause I know
I never deserved it

She was my best friend
You should have known
It would bring about the end
You both strung me along
Till your friends ratted you out
I guess you never realised
I was someone your friends cared about

And now here we are
You standing in the corner
Looking like a lamb
Ready for slaughter

I take a breath let it out
Then look the other way
To myself you are dead and gone
Yet the ache will always stay
And to the one I called friend
I can never speak to again
But that can wait for another day.
