Preaching how trying your best is enough,
But the greatest effort is flawed when judging self.

Taking a stance of leniency with others,
Yet showing no mercy with your cause.

Considering second best in a race is outstanding,
But is looked upon as failure if sliver was rewarded.

The meaning of greatness doesn’t change,
Just because you are the participant.

Accept glory at face value,
No matter who is the contestant.
