Oh, I just want to kiss you, dear.
We spoke not for the whole day.
Nothing seems calm; all appears uneasy.
My breath is short; my tongue is sour.
Oh, my heart only desires for you.
It cries for you from within me.

Who knows how it feels,
crying without tears,
eating without wine?
My strides are waste;
the dreams are empty—
I see the whole earth waste.
Only my love brings me joy.
