I have a fascination with
all things love,
Daydreams constructing expectations
and a daily need for a thing which
I have yet to experience,
It's an obsession which has
evolved into a fear ~
Fear of a broken heart,
of a lonely life,
of distracted dreams.

~ Funny my ability to
overthink.
A blue jay perches
Watches the autumn leaves fall--
And stays there alone
I honestly didn't even know what a Haiku was (I knew it was a type of poem but nothing else)before this website. It's my first time trying, and it was really hard! I did my best, though it didn't turn out as good as I hoped. I decided to post it anyway.
Remember when you licked the beaters
As your mum baked cakes?
Nostalgia of innocence teeters,
Recaptured on my lips
Today, after making meringue
For a raspberry daquise.
Fabulously, fruity favourite, heart-sang,
Laughing afterwards as I notice a leftover moustache.
No one listens
when you talk
in black and white
Only when
you color
the conversation
can you get them
to think twice
Black or White
they fight back
Turn to color
sweeten truth
Make it smell better
they hear only
what they want
Their minds
have become
untouchable
There is only
Silence
now
in the black
and white
As I scrapped the scabs on my skin
With and eraser
These colours stuck at the corners of my eyes
What an eye sore I thought
But people looked at me weird down the street
And they silently whispered
"Did he beat her too"
like flags that are decorative
or bunting that represents a
happy time

dislike borders
representations of separation
Once, I used to gaze at the dark moon,
I wandered through the abyss,
I saw the snake’s skin,
My heart was not this dark,
I felt more love,
I read Beddoes,
Everything has grown colder.
