Storytelling
Mayela Jan 2017
When you tell the truth you tell a story,
From your perspective only.
From my perspective only,
You're telling the wrong story.

If there's no truth in our storytelling then I'll keep telling the story until it comes true.

That's fully up to you.

You'll never know me,
And I'll never know you.
Based on the book "The voice of knowledge" by Don Miguel Ruiz and Janet Mills

Only you and me
Mayela Apr 2016
I love you for you,
And I know you love me the same.
A long forever means you have to
stay.

Scary love
Mayela Jan 2017
Making love to you feels like you shot me in the throat,
That bulletproof glass broke,
You shot right through as if it was easy to you.
You said you love me and you showed me the proof,
All that's left is to just satisfy you.

What if...
Mayela Jun 2016
What if I do this
What if I do that
What if I take too much time
What if I wish I didn't do that
.
What if I was stuck at the wheel with a gun to my back
.
What if I could count all the stars
What if I didn't screenshot all the pictures we took at the park
.
What if I didn't do this
What if I didn't do that
Will you ever have my back??

Disintegration
Mayela May 2016
The black started to fade to blue,
And soon became a deep purple,
with little sparks of diferent colors.
Not in one specific area,
But all around scattered,
Like a variety of people on this earth.
Imagine those tinged sparks,
Coming together and making a color of their own.
It wouldn't just be a color it would be,
Light.
You are not apart of this disintegration

Oblivion

Love is an obliterate word,
And it's truly undefined.
But getting caught in such an emotion,
Is not a waste of time.

I told you the forbidden
Mayela May 2016
I can't tell you how it feels,
because you haven't felt it.
You don't understand,
but that's okay.
I'm not playing the victim,
I'm just telling you how it is.
I know you don't believe me,
but it's only because you see me a different way.
It hurts to think about it but I just push it aside because it's not like that anymore, but yet it's still not anything.
Understand I'm not depressed. I'm just hurt and I need to tell someone who cares.

Blurry
Mayela May 2016
The colors mash together in a drop of rain.
All the bright colors now look the same.
One by one you separate the bright flames from Black and Gray.
You can now show the demented world what you have made.
But when society gets to the inside pouch you will feel like you fit out.

When i remembered
Mayela Jan 2017
I knew things beforehand,
I knew things after that hand,
Digging and clawing a way in the sand,
Looking for something to grab,
Safe for a second or two,
Drifting back to the old you,
Remebering when you were at your best,
And then falling in to your worst,
Can't stop this "curse."

In love??
Mayela Apr 2016
Hello?
Am I in love?
Is this real?
Am I really enough?
All I know is...
I've never felt this way.
You make me feel like a lovesick girl,
In the sixth grade.
Can't think about it too much,
Because then I think it might just,
Lose its touch.

Ode

Ode
Ode to the ones who know,

The ones who feel the same,

The ones with different thoughts,

The ones that almost forgot,

Everyone.

The One For You
Mayela Jan 2017
You gently lay down the sword of rights,
And a candle lights.
You break the shield that protects,
And you connect.
The words you say are now love letters written in red,
And all the lies from the past are dead.
For when you meet the one for you,
Its like you've become new.
You may always share those special glances,
No there are no second chances,
So this one you better tie down like your shoes.
You might get some bumps and bruises,
And everything may always be imperfectly perfect,
But remember the truth,
I will always love you.
Dedicated to Anthony Aaron.

Understanding
Mayela May 2016
People don't see that it's a real disease,
Acting like it's all a breeze,
Telling me what I can and can't see,
Saying the fear isn't real,
And that I technically shouldn't be able to feel,
Its like reading a sign that says it's left but pointing right,
I know that I'm alright,
See i may have a problem but it's not me,
It's all the people that can't see,
That normal is a factor of weird but if you aren't the right amount your considered a queer?
It's not about the categories of A,B, and C,
But it's about understanding me.
For the people,
That have a mental disease, and for the people who undertand what that means.

Differences
Mayela Sep 2015
Im a light indigo,
And your a bright green.
Im the back of the cab,
And you're the front seat.
I dont know how "us" came to be,
I think like you,
But you're nothing like me.
I'm Steffaloo,
You're the newest beat.
I get you,
And you get me.
I dont know if I could ever blend in,
With the crowd you're in.
I'm afraid,
But you're like "nah they'll like you."
I'm different,
And so are you.
We're the same I guess,
At least in one way.

What you can't find
Mayela Jan 2017
Heart is the headmaster,
Seems like there is an on coming disaster.
Mind is an abuser,
Can't see what's in the future.
Soul is the professor
There's a problem and an answer.
Body is a tumb,
Something that's just used.
Clamity comes when you're sleeping in your bed,
Thinking about all the love that you give.
What you receive only passes in your dreams,
Don't think too much,
It's not always what it seems.

Same love.
Mayela Sep 2015
I'm gone,
Not from this world,
But from my soul.
Where did I go?
You ask me,
Day by Day.
Everything just fades,
Its like bright passing colors,
And shades.
Do you think I've changed?
In any way?
I just hope if I did...
You'll love me the same.
We distance ourselves from one another...why??

The heart
Mayela May 2016
Your hands tell a story,
Your eyes are the feeling,
Your words are the way,
Your personality shows what you have become and what you will be in the future.
