You've been here before.
The place where you stood before him
With a hummingbird in your chest
And an outstretched hand
Waiting for him to grab hold.
But only after minutes of hesitation
Did he finally latch on
Only to shake his head,
To regretfully tell you,
"This is my home."
And as you stared into the forest
Of his eyes
Your heart broke
Because you understood.
With the lightest brush from yours lips to his
And a bittersweet tear stain on your cheek
You started a single set of footprints
On the road you had blindly hoped
You'd never walk in solitude again.

when you use all of your water on one plant,
you drown it.
A different skin tone
A different tongue
What does it matter?
We’re all born young –
Innocent and naïve
Until the world infects
Our minds and makes us harm
The world we should protect

A different belief
A different home
But what is the difference
Between “Hi” and “Shalom”?
Or “As-Salamu Alaykum”
And “Peace be with you”
In the end we’re all humans
Christian or Muslim or Jew

And it’s all rather silly
If you care to think it through
How we need to differentiate
And separate me and you
Just because we were born
In a slightly different place
Into a different religion
Into a different race

‘Cause we’re humans and we bleed
The same colour of red
We need the same things
To be loved and fed
Even if I lived a world away
It matters not in the end
We’re all in this together
You and me, my friend
"I just don't fit in,"

I'm better off dead

"It's just a scratch,"

It hurt and it bled

"I'm just a little tired,"

I'm trying not to cry

"I'm fine, I promise,"

*I just want to die.
I can't help thinking
That my legs are the size
Of wide ravines
Carrying ***** blood
Through its tributaries
I can't help thinking
That my stomach holds
Toxic waste
Ruining me from
The inside
I can't help thinking
That the darkness outside
Has stretched inwards
Corrupting the light
I once held in my eyes
I can't help thinking
That I'll always think the same
Heart, mouth, mind joined, loving this stream of consciousness living
Context : lying in bed last night, analysing my day as i do every night before sleep. i came to realise i had had a great day, i was totally surrounded by my friends loving environment and responded involuntarily with the same (i think). I have experimenting with stream of consciousness talking for a few years now but have never thought or tried to apply it to my lifestyle (when non paranoid). I was especially impressed when the bride to be saved the life of an insect on the table and stated to me 'this is just for you' and she picked up the insect and set it free again outside. i realised maybe my presence here in this reality might be causing subtle changes in the vibrations of others around me (for good). Anyways i had edits for the first four words to be 'all body, mind, soul' but i don't think i have experienced this yet so it wouldn't be a true reflection of 'current moments'. Dear reader, i am curious and have a question for you...do you prefer my paranoid based poems (just comment with a 1) or my non paranoid poem(s) (just comment with a zero) cheers for reading, i am off to a wedding :-):-):-):-):-)

one person on your mind this
whole time.
THREE:
You just smiled because it's true.
TWO:
You were so busy thinking
about that person,,you didn't
notice number eight was
missing.
ONE:
You just scrolled up to check &
now silently laughing at yourself.
I opened the cage
of my ribs for you,
To reveal my softly beating
heart and all that lay
within it.

But you? No.

Your heart is still encased
in that cage of yours.
I can hear it,
each beat reverberating
in your chest.
Yet, I cannot see it.

Maybe you're just shy,
Or
Maybe I just don't hold
the key to the cage
around your heart.
