Spring came and the flowers bloomed.
By then, hope was at an all time high.
When summer came, flames of light engulfed the ground.
By then hope was nigh.
Autumn came and went in an instant, leaving us with a new color palette of leaves.
There was a sense of renewal in the air, like having hope was alright.
As winter came, and the snow fell around,
My heart said I wasn't wrong to feel the way I did.
When spring came around again,
I realized,
The seasons will always return, but you never will.

The reason
I wake up
Every morning
With a smile on my face
My dear
You always make my day
Before it's even begun
When I awaken
I remember
That we are together
A beautiful thing
And that's all it takes
My smile never fades
And my heart stays warm

You made a poet fall in love with you
And expected her not to write sonnets about your eyes
Haikus about the way you kissed her in the moonlight
Expected the fire in her heart not to inspire couplets
You made a poet fall in love with you, and when you left
Expected her not to write pages about the ache in her chest
Write a soliloquy dedicated to her tears
Expected her not to feel every gut wrenching moment of the pen hitting paper like your words hit her in the most vulnerable places of her mind.
You made a poet fall in love with you, and you expected her to be silent.
That is no fault of hers.

Face it
We all have darkness in us
We all think things that we shouldn't
We all hide in the shadows
The deepest parts,
We never see the light
Once the darkness takes over
Your depressed
You think your unwanted
And you keep letting them take you back
Back into the darkness where we have
All failed and lost something valuable
In bits and pieces at a time
We lost our
Happiness

I can’t be found sometimes,
dumbfounded by my surroundings.
hiding,
in between my
insecurities.

i’ve been captured in the moment,
scared to say another word,
caught ,
in between my
insecurities

I got lost within the essence,
talking nonsensical thoughts,
lying inside,
in between my
insecurities.

I learnt my lesson swiftly,
teenage years, lunchbox idioms ,
sandwiched,
in between my
insecurities.
