Pain slices through his heart
As he watches her
Once again
Beat herself with that
Whip of Intolerance
Each time he is Stunned
By the Violence
She directs at herself
His heart bleeds
As he wonders....
          as he wonders
If she will ever find
Acceptance and Tolerance
Of her self
That she so freely gives to others

I'm in love with someone's daughter
living in the shards of a broken home
Cutting herself on two year-old letters
These are moments she can't fake;
reasons to feel alone
So used to abuse, her tears start to shake
I hold her close as her head starts to ache
"I love you too much,
so I can't let your heart break."
She said, "I know you love me,
but you've made a mistake."

I never meant for anyone to be my pulse.
I promise not to step on your feet
if you teach me how to waltz.

it can either be
the greatest gift
or the most
painful response.
I haven't been writing short poems lately. Feels good to get this one out.

I don't believe in love at first sight,
I believe in lust a first sight.
You cant see my soul in a passing glance.
Midnight thoughts.

When I do see them flying ducks
Hear squarkes and ***** and quacks and such
I do think they ducks look great
But they'd look so much better on my plate
Roast potatoes piled high
With peas and cabbage on the side
That's the way they ducks should  be
In a rich dark gravy just for me
