Best moments are the ones that never last.

You are not who I thought
I felt it all along

I should never deny my gut
When the feeling
Is so strong.

You are all wrong
Throw me back into the throng

If you have won
Then let it be done.

This is no longer fun.
I have no energy for anything that isn't mediocre. Ugh. 2am writing bye

We are critical.

We find flaws in
everything we see
because nobody
wants to write
about perfection,
even though sometimes
we wish we could just stay
staring into that
unblemished surface.

2. We are never satisfied.

We live our lives upon
mountains of
scrunched up
bits of refill and
ideas we gave up
trying to
express.

3. We never forget.

We write words about
eye contact made
three months ago
that we replay over
and over in our minds
even though it
stopped
being relevant.

4. We are fickle.**

Our emotions flash
from one
to the other
like strobe lighting that
disorientates us
until we feel as if
the world
will never be still.

5. We are exposed.

We don't know how
to keep our feelings
to ourselves so
we'll write them
down for
you to find
'accidentally'.

6. We are vulnerable.

We wear our
hearts on our sleeves
and won't lift a
muscle to fight back
if somebody tries
to break it
because we thrive
from the pain.

7. We will never stop.

We will never stop
feeling and
we will never stop
hurting,
we will never stop
breaking and
bleeding and
loving
even though the cycle
is endless
and we know what's
coming next.

We are addicted
to agony,
but we agonise
for the art.
It's worth it though.
At one time, you would always be part of my world,
At one time, you would always be part of my life,
At one time, you would always be part of my heart!

These were promises made,
That, would not be broken!

These were only empty spoken words. Words that
Were never true;
Promises only to deceive,
Made only to receive
That gift of love.  I
Would only give to my only real love
Not to anyone but you. How could I,
Be such a fool? I have fallen for you and
Broken my heart.

And he closed his eyes.
Drawers are shut gently, curtains drawn back.
Silence stilled heartbeats & pulses.

She refused to close her eyes nonetheless.
I am not sure about this one.

Am I really a 'poet'
If all my poetry is just about you
---
I'll keep the
lighter
that shall
burn our bridges
forever
Do comment. :-)

Love so bitter

Sometimes...yes sometimes
I wish my life was like a movie
With the big crescendo of music
Playing as
Love's warmth
Sinks deep inside

Instead...
I don't even get a goodnight
Let alone some romance
No longer
Do I feel
Love's warmth
Deep inside,
Just me
Cold
With no music
