Days turn to eternities
with hindering urgencies
buried inside of me, a
labyrinth of reasoning
alone in the midst, I
refuse
refuse to quit
sawing at the chains anchored
to ankles tied
to this abyss,
caught in a paradox
caught
in a **** whirlwind
gotta break free, 'cuz
drapetomania’s got the best of me.
An overwhelming urge to run away; escape.... came across this word a while ago and was inspired to write this.
Today I changed my sheets in Taiyuan
Nobody asks me how many times I do this?
Nobody asks me how I do it.
Nobody offers to help me change my sheets.

I knew a woman once who listened to Bob Dylan
And said she was ‘wounded in love’
She changed her sheets everyday
I never asked her why.
Just an ordinary moment in my life
Unending Love

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,
Its ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Ilahi, as I breathe
your breath
upon my lips,
I am taken back
to the tumultuous
rise and fall
of your *******
as I rode upon
your dreams as
you called out my name,

Ilahi, as I breathe
your name
upon my breath,
free me from
my death like stupor,
encase me in
a wreath of
your forgiveness
as I beg you,

Ilahi, as I breathe
my last tonight,
it shall be your smell
arousing me
in my shroud
of nothingness
yet everything is you,
You
are all that I breathe.

Carry my breath with you, Ilahi.
Words at the foot of a temple.

I thought
The straight road
Would be
Fast and
Easy
But it turns out
There's more turns
Than one would think
On a
Straight
Road
