who cares

You don't have to explain yourself
Justify yourself
Refine yourself
Talk to the moon if you must
Share your secrets with the stars
You're allowed to say
whatever you may please
And write every word that pops out of your mouth
when you lay on the
comfort of your bed
Who cares!
Not your pen
Not the birds who are heading home
Not the creatures who creep way down deep on the ocean floor
Not the sea shell you hold up to you ear
They're all just listening,
not judging, but accepting
and applauding
Through your journey and theirs

I'm going to dare the fates and speak openly

Julius Caesar, was a pompas *****, who consumed and never gave
A pudgy little waif of an excuse for a man
Cleopatra, wasn't a visual beauty,
She had wit, and the gift of gab
I was her hand maiden
I would know
Technology?!
We are so primitive in this age, Ha!
Nero,
History painted a vague, and awful picture of a great man of men
Indeed,
My Nero, did dance at the fall of Rome
Because we all would dance, at the loss of ignorance
He was beautiful, I loved him
And of DaVinci?
His mind was offset
He was GREAT
His was a traveling soul and mind
Leonardo, looked God himself in the face
And grinned
He was GREAT, as was his son
His son, painted a book
It resides in the Vatican Library
Check if you will
With your "Google"
Your generations wonder of mysteries,
You haven't a clue
Time isn't linear
It Is always
And I grow tired
Hoover, a Hunter
He knew of us
And we hid
Shielding ourselves in shadows
And lies
We are here
We watch
Wait....

I peer out the porthole into the chaos of the storm,
Disorder, my sole companion

Blue waves crash along the jagged rocks
sprays of melancholic gloom
the wind howls
sounding like the ghosts of past memories
decayed wooden decks rotting from
the salty air
a wailing gust originates from the rusting iron of the ships hull
a hex is placed on it’s journey as the shadowy vessel tears through
the gloomy waters of its past

The past is only a memory,
as I find myself once again in the company of madness

Just leave

Please, I beg you
I implore you
To leave me alone

If you're confused
Or had a moment of weakness
An impulse of momentary courage
that will fade quickly
Please don't
Don't do it
Don't come back
For I know you will leave again
with no explanation
other than leave me wondering again
Why
Why  is it always a desire
Instead of a fact

I'd rather have you leave forever
Than come back
And be a lie I can never have
