I hate the fact
that I can relate
with every broken hearted
post
on this gosh **** site
And that I write them

Your memory
won't let me
out of bed.

I'm surrounded by a sea of people
As far as the eye can see
All flowing in the same direction
And just floating along, is me

I've been wading in this water
Letting it carry me any way
Not caring about which direction
And never having any say

After wading all this time though
My legs started growing tired
So finally it was time to choose
Which direction I desired

But the problem with floating along
Was that I never became aware
I wasn't really a part of the waves
I was just sort of...there

What I wanted didn't matter
The waves still moved as one
Whether I moved with or against them
Didn't matter in the long run

Then I thought I better get out
And give myself some time to think
But I couldn't see the shore anymore
And with that, I started to sink

Now I'm surrounded by a sea of people
As far as the eye can see
All still flowing in the same direction
But drowning in it, is me
"I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It's not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone." Robin Williams <3
Wow, I am so honored that this was chosen for daily poem and that I have received so many friendly comments.
Thank you all for your friendly words and messages, and for your love and support. You have no idea how much it means to me. <3
Stumbling down, I'd soar the skies
Lost eternally in your eyes
Drowning in an age of sand
I'd be sleeping in your hand
Floating on vast unconquarable sea
Know you will be there with me
& when the air is thin & dry
Id wet your lips with my last sigh

All I know is what I feel
That is why love is real

She hurt me and you didn't say a word.
I suppose nobody really cares, at this point.

My lungs are-
Made of bronze
Breathing,
Sandman salt
And forget-me-knot visits.

Not to sound cynical but --
the modern woman is saying...
it's just a matter of time...
before the new guy in my life's gonna go
yeah, he's gonna stray--
She says...
"Wow, if I had a dime is all I have to say...
What does the modern woman have to do?
Turn icy?
Turn into an ocean that's frozen blue"
She says...
"We can't turn into glass..
we'll just end up shattered n' broken
crying on our *** "
(even though they like us all soft -- and, warm)
with adoring eyes that flash up at them
saying,  "I love you Baby-Baby-Baby, over n over again..."
n' She says,
"Then they wonder why
we don't put up with their bullshi* n' all their lies..."
She says,
Let me tell you a little secret about the modern woman...
she's smart, independent, n' wise.
Yeah..
She's burned out of the megalomaniac guys
She hopes you like hoops...
cause she has a lot of ropes -- with complicated hoops...
that you get to jump on through
to prove that it's worth her time
for her to even be with you
She says,
"I hope you can run fast -- n' that you like the chase...
cause baby, baby -- you're in for one hell of a race."

She'll move on -- yeah, she'll be long gone
if you've done her wrong...

Because she owns her time...
she owns
her own dimes...
she knows her worth...
She's knows that she's a beautiful Goddess..
that lives with Joy as she walks this Earth.

judes, even the ones that say they don't
because it's not okay
I mean,
aren't they already judging for not thinking it's okay?
who  first said that judging is wrong?
If no one judged
where would we be now?
maybe i'ts not so bad.
Hold my shaking hands
Steady, so I can
Write your name a thousandth time
In paint in temple walls
In scars on my chest
In the sky in smoke
And can't you?

Hearts lodged in throats
And pills hidden under tongues
Every move desperate, all wounds mortal
Stars fall from dilated eyes
Wake to dream again
Of empty embraces and loaded guns
And wouldn't you?

Swallow it down
The burning taste of copper
And pulpy chunks of shattered teeth
Breathe deep the air of home
Stale sage and dollar-stamped cigarettes
And you
Of course I will
