Ember Rose Nov 2016
I'm sorry things happen the way they do,
I'm sorry I made a change that benefited me,
and not you.
I'm sorry I'm changing, rearranging,
I'm sorry I'm putting me first,
and not you.
I guess you could say I needed something new,
I guess I'm sorry it was me,
*and not you.
Ember Rose Aug 2016
The lights are off,
The sun has sank,
For I am the only light burning.
I sit here and ponder and think
And destroy.
For I am alone
With no one but myself
So I argue with myself.
The screams get loud as
They creep under my skin.
They rip at my wrists,
They punch at my stomach,
They send quivers through my hands,
I cant keep them steady.
I scratch and tear at my skin,
The darkness is eating me from the inside out.
It has gotten too friendly,
It walks when I'm the most
Vulnerable,
When I'm alone.
It takes me by the hand and
Swings me into a wall.
It pushes to floor and kicks me
As I stand.
Never have I been abused by a human,
Except myself.
The air becomes cloudy and grey.
Don’t try to stop in only makes it worse.
For it wraps around your lungs and it
Squeezes.
Till.
You.
Cant.
Breathe.
And in that last suffocating breath it
Releases, causing the nasty awful
Air it made fill your lungs.
