I AM BLACK
The color of my skin
The roots of my hair
I AM BLACK
The roar of my voice
The power of my walk
I AM BLACK
The loose fit of my denim
The length of my shirt
I AM BLACK
The look in my eyes
The art on my body
I AM BLACK
The crimes I committed
The time I served
I AM BLACK
The way I think
The way I act
I AM BLACK
The jewelry I wear
The cars I drive
I AM BLACK
The down talk on me
The way I am judged
I AM BLACK
The times I was wrong
The times I was right
I AM BLACK
The mistakes I made
The path I chose
I AM BLACK
I was not a slave
But I know of slavery
I AM BLACK
The struggles I faced
The meals I missed
I AM BLACK
A high school drop out
And a street life mentality
I AM BLACK
I'm not a racist
But I am a survivor
I AM BLACK
I maybe ashamed of what I've done
But I am not ashamed of who I am
I AM BLACK
And I AM PROUD.
This is not to be racist.  I'm describing myself and who I am. I hope this doesn't offend anyone.
Please don't ever leave,

we've suffered enough grieve and you're all I will ever need.
Useless numbers mean nothing, they've only caused us to suffer,
let's protect each other and correct each other till the very end
so,
we wont ever have to reach another dead end.

Oxytocin
"Look what you've done?"
"It's all your fault"
"Stop crying"
"You're being such a baby"

I wipe away my tears
And put on a smile
A mask that conceals the scars
The pain
The guilt
The universe is never in my favor

"Clumsy"
"Irresponsible"
"Useless"
These words always ringing in my ears
Haunting me
Keeping me up at night
Im shedding silent tears
And waking up with a heavy feeling
In my chest

Waking up
With a smile on my face
A *mask
I'm sorry, I'm feeling really down lately.
Cure me within the seize
     of artistic rapture
capturing human spirit in
      boundless creativity,
lay 'pon my ******* a sonata
    written of affection's simpatico,
whisper me a sonnet
        scripted 'neath my skin,
  soar me to limitless grandeur
     elevated beyond cloud vapors,
beckoning rhythmical renditions of
abstract layers in love, splendor & art,
amidst the harmony and lavish
            poetry of a soulful heart

William Cowper
Dear Lord! accept a sinful heart,
Which of itself complains,
And mourns, with much and frequent smart,
The evil it contains.

There fiery seeds of anger lurk,
Which often hurt my frame;
And wait but for the tempter's work,
To fan them to a flame.

Legality holds out a bribe
To purchase life from Thee;
And Discontent would fain prescribe
How Thou shalt deal with me.

While Unbelief withstands Thy grace,
And puts the mercy by,
Presumption, with a brow of brass,
Says, "Give me, or I die!"

How eager are my thoughts to roam,
In quest of what they love!
But ah! when duty calls them home,
How heavily they move!

Oh, cleanse me in a Saviour's blood,
Transform me by Thy power,
And make me Thy beloved abode,
And let me roam no more.

i can tell
by the bags
under your eyes
that you cry
yourself to sleep
when it comes
dawn you hide
and cut your
wrists, so the
sun doesn’t kiss
you and make you
conscious
let’s make
love and shut
the world out
and embrace this
new feeling that
we ignite in each
other’s bodies

I will be wandering in the streets of un-named lands.
Among unknown people , will i be sheltering.
In the labyrinth of strange cultures and rituals.
Yes, that is what i'll be doing.
Careless & free of bonds travelling the lands like a wanderer.
Joy & peace will be my
profits of trade.
My fate will see no destination
only the journey.
