Words
Diana Iriz Oct 2015
The things I would say if I had the chance
Will always repeat in the small breaths I take
To let them slip out, rather than watching them dance
A major catastrophe upon they will make
Because those three words that embody romance
Would only be spoken whilst my voice shake

Love Me From Within
Diana Iriz Oct 2015
Grey eyes
Pale skin
Love me from within

You held me close
as we both sinned
Love me from within

You told me lies
With wry grins
Love me from within

Pricked by roses
leaked heroine
Love me from within

*One last breath
and held it in
Love me from within

Lover's Nostalgia
Diana Iriz Jul 2015
Unwrap me like a present
Like I'm your greatest gift
Rough waters turned to pleasured waves
I'm surely sent adrift

A crescendo fills my lungs
and sings with bitten lips
We dance in sheets til night is done
hands vine with tensioned grips

Eyes flutter shut like angel wings
Love drips like heaven's rain
The kiss of wine turned to poison
Love's passion turned to pain

The feelings meant for movies
Our times of hungered bliss
These times that are only left
for me to reminisce

Places
Diana Iriz Nov 2014
Sometimes I want to be madly in love
and go places

run away in your pickup
pick roses from the Botanical Garden
run in slow motion on the beach
scream on top of roofs
scratch our chins in local art galleries
make faces at little kids in the park
hide behind the liquor store aisles
look down from the eiffel tower
look up and stargaze in the middle of a highway
lay in bed that has too many pillows
sit on the kitchen counter with coffee at 2AM
talk about the universe like we owned it
oh
and go on movie dates

Why didn't you leave?
Diana Iriz Oct 2014
He said so with a stern look
like he had been lied to for the first time
and I said
The last hug you gave me was
your most genuine out of all
the other ones you gave
if I were to stay

I guess I just wanted to feel
something different
I guess I just wanted to feel

Nature
Diana Iriz Oct 2014
Fall in love with a girl who loves the Galaxy
She daydreams of being apart of something
so complexed, so beautiful
something much bigger than herself

Fall in love with a girl who loves thunderstorms
She's haunted by something
so gloomy, so frightening
something that cries and screams for her

Fall in love with a girl who loves sunny days
She's immersed in something
so happy, so bright
something she can't waste until dusk

Psychopath
Diana Iriz Oct 2014
I’m on the verge of killing everyone
So there won't be an excuse
For no one to love me
(I'd **** you if I could
But *******
I'm addicted to the life in your eyes)

Poison
Diana Iriz Sep 2014
it is not love if you rush into haste
if this is your way to love, let it lay to waste
because you're just being poisoned
by a divine yet wicked taste

Beautiful
Diana Iriz Jul 2013
I'll go on a diet
And maybe he'll love me

I'll curl my hair
And maybe they'll notice me

I'll put on make up
And maybe they'll smile at me

I'll put on perfume
And maybe they'll come closer to me

I'll walk in high heels
And maybe they'll look up at me

I'll wear fancy clothes
And maybe she'll get jelous of me

I'll talk *****
And maybe they'll hear me

I'll start smoking
And maybe they'll sit with me

I'll get a tattoo
And maybe they'll stop and stare at me

I'll get implants
And maybe they'll take a picture of me

I'll self loathe
And maybe they'll compliment me

I'll run away
And maybe they'll follow me

I'll go insane
And maybe they'll comfort me

I'll **** myself
*And maybe they'll miss me

Aging
Diana Iriz Jun 2013
You know when you're getting old.
When you realize the generations after you are stupid
and the generations before you were right.

God vs The Devil
Diana Iriz Jun 2013
It begins. You are born
into an unseen kingdom on earth
with a life as a test

As a child
you seek for dear daddy
but your eyes never meet

You know He sees you
from a palace you await
your whole life to step into

He's here for you they say
He guides you they say
He is your king they say
You believe what they say

You walk as time runs

As you gets older
you begin to wonder
You're impatient to meet him
You hear more and more stories
about a man that plays with fire
How he creeps in the unguarded hearts
of those who should know better

One night you hear his steps
follow you in the dark
with nothing but the burning torch in his hand
Like a moth
you drift closer to his bright hypnosis
dazed by his glowing eyes
He touches your shoulder
in what seemed to be gentle
All you know is that
you don't have to wait for this one

You fall into his arms
expecting a hug.
Have you found your
"Father?"

Suddenly you're paralyzed into his grasp
The eyes of a deceiving madman
stare down as he suffocates your soul
Your heart is drained empty of pure water
to be replaced with his vile poison

You run as time flies

You're caught,
curled up in a lonely alleyway
between two harrowing dead ends

You stare into the wall of fire
at a hand with sharp red talons reaching out
accompanied by a wicked grin
you recall in your nightmare
A familiar acquaintance

You turn to find another hand
that tempts you
softly begging for your trust again
He has watched you like a Shepard
but you don't know his smile
He is a stranger
only vaguely remembered
by the tales you've heard them
speak greatly about

You're overwhelmed
You're distressed
You're impaired
You're weak

Tears make your vision hazy
and with a swift, blind move
you close your eyes and grab a hand

You Promised
Diana Iriz Jun 2013
I remember when we first met

Light flickered in your eyes
the way moonlight reflects
through cold crystals

Your voice that made me deaf
to the loudest of angel hymns
surrounding you

Like the sun
I behold you in sight before
withdrawing from a dangerous stare

Being so close
it suffocated me
yet so far to leave me
of beautiful agony for you

A smile that embeds in your
skull for a day you want
to remember it's perfection

And with the torture of goodbye
we croaked out between soft lips
"see you later"
like it was a promise

Love's Deception
Diana Iriz Jun 2013
Love does not wait in bed
Love is getting out and
exploring what one will go
to the ends of the world for the other

Love is not being so close
to the touch
Love is a connection that surpasses
the attraction from
moon to planet

Love is not about pleasure
of sensual movements
Love is about the happiness
of a smile that was sighed
out after a laugh

Love is not the lust
of their warmth
Love is sparking a fire
with just one kiss

Love is not just about
***
Love is the bliss from their presence
when they are in a room of a
thousand and you cannot help but
look and imagine
them looking back
and smiling like they
found something special

Diana Iriz Jun 2013
I love you

And I don't just say that
like it's something normal
I love you a lot

I love you like the warmth
from a candle
I love you more than a sky
filled with stars
I love you more than a song
that whispers your secrets
I love you more than
time could ever age

I love you more than each step
to a destination,
each breath
to the last

I love you from the endless sea
to the forever earth

I love you
and sometimes the words
"I" and
"love" and
"you" are too short and
simple to mean
infinitely everything

Soft Silence
Diana Iriz Jun 2013
Just being with you
leaves me speechless

I just want to be quiet
and listen to you for hours,
cuddling together side by side to
keep ourselves warm with our
heartbeats and slow breaths

I want to just take in our
soft silence, where there is
no questions asked
no words taken so serious
no explanations to reason
our way out of misgiven words

I just want to feel like the two of us
are the only ones in the world
and that would be okay
because all we need at that moment is
each other
