Men engaged in a five day battle
you better hold on to your saddle.

armoured knights running a runs race
archers shooting ***** for them to face

Dressed in white but no messengers of peace
these are 22 warriors, not from Rome or Greece

The ground remains green, but the pitch burns
in the fight for the prestigious ashes urn
Despite the glam and show of short formats, Test cricket remains the ultimate level of the sport, and the Ashes is the heart of it !

The series is heated up now with England and Australia both winning 1 match each.

you tattooed worries in my mind and sorrows in my heart
A king, a bard, round and round,
He seems retired, but hasn't found
What we see as universal truth,
Whereas it thieves him of his youth.

Now love stirs the  motley  fool
So his words might be dim & cruel,
Yet he crowns her then with jewels
Respect that comes with  *I love you.

Once upon a time,
There was me and you,
We were each other’s half –
A perfect match.

As I lay my head on your shoulder,
You wrap me in your arms;
Our hands entwined
Sharing sweet laughters.

All those moments we spent together
We decided to make it last;
My hope of our forever
Will be up high til' we turn to dust.

When you decided to love me so,
My heart was ever glad;
You and me just like that…
Inlove... Unified.
The last two stanzas of my poem should be this:

All those moments we spent together
Will just be part of our past;
My hope of our forever
Vanished like dust.

When you decided to let me go,
My heart was shattered;
You left me just like that…
Weeping... Broken.

But before I posted this, I sent this first to Mr. Hyacinth. Then, he created a new ending for my poem that's why this became a collab :) He wrote the other side of my poem.

Thanks for reading ;)

what you do to one side, you have to do to the other.

each side of the equation has to be equal.
each subscript has to be equal.
my life has to be equal.

what I do to one side, I have to do to the other.

if I drop you, I have to drop her, too.
if I do this, I have to do that.
if I add them, I have to let them go.

what I do to one side, I have to do to the other.

balance.

it’s a must-have feature in our lives.
our eyes are bigger than our stomach.
two servings of responsibility,
three servings of stress,
and two handfuls of *******
equal
a shattered plate,
a torn appetite,
and a broken girl.

what you do to one side, you have to do to the other.
