I fall asleep to the
Sound of raindrops

I blew some bubbles into the air
And immediately my thoughts flew to you

Shut Down

Pause.
Start again.
It's too dangerous to stop.
What's on your arm?
Tug your sleeve down, refuse to talk.
Don't let them know
or your secret will be out.
You could stretch out your arm
reach for someone's hand,
but they will never fully grasp
the weight of your situation.
Close your mouth,
your eyes,
your mind.
Just shut down.

The blink of an eye
Is an eye-opener
So much change
Eyes can’t believe
As if eyelids
Are pulled by strings
Puppetry of events around
Our vision in a time warp
Soul has already envisioned
The events here and beyond
Late we realize this
Trusting our eyes for guidance
Soul and eyes aligned
Gives a deeper perspective
Much beyond the surface of things
An eternal understanding
To foresee what we are and will be

Richard Riddle
We often hear the words,"THEY" said", "They say"-
but no one seems to know who "THEY" are!'

"They" belongs to a very large family of verbal miscreants that have spent eons infiltrating societies throughout  the globe by creating and spreading rumour and discontent with a vengeance.

"THEY", has siblings, with such names as "Somebody Else", "Somebody Said", "The Other Guy",etc. The latter being in the unfortunate position of being blamed for the actions of "Somebody Else."

"Somebody Else" needs to be replaced by somebody else.
