Loose thoughts
‪When you  strive for something you want so badly to a point where it'll push you to not wanting it anymore at all,, just to ease the ache of an unfulfilled want
Darrel Weeks Mar 2017
These petals are broken when dried
And thrown to the silent wind
They dance as the memory flickers
As candlelight shapes a moving rose
Delicate girl

Glances in the window night
Frame a sadness in tired eyes
Emotions skip and burst in direction
Touching from a distance
Delicate girl

It's just in front of you
But you can't grasp it and hold it to your chest
Falling through the crack in the pavement

I push my hope up a hill
As light as it may be
Each step feels pain
When it reaches the peak
It falls over the edge
And crashes to the ground
I find it and wipe it down
I push my hope up a hill
As light as it may be
Each step ........
Hope is all we have these days

The bending trees enclose
Below the vines we kiss my love
Fall back and be caught
My gift is the sunset
Sensual and warming
Yours is the pressing fingers
Into the hand
That created your perfection
For sound has colour
Sing and the voice raised will be divine

There are no right answers.
The sky rejects the birds, turns them
over to gravity,
embedding them in the concrete and dirt.
The grit refuses to become a pearl,
just as the wound refuses to heal
and the flesh eats itself.
The market sees a sudden spike in
sales of Champagne and cyanide.
Coordinated efforts seek and fail
to curtail the rising tide of violence
in the nation's dreaming.
You realise that this crude, barbaric language
that you can't understand
is your own.
Beauty glitches and pixelates.
Frightened, furtive confessions of love
are unheard over proud, visceral
proclamations of hate.
Tongues divorce mouths.
Every now and then, a voice
inside your head says,
'Thud.'
The measures of sanity become
more quantifiable and
totally arbitrary.
The horizon
tightens
like
a noose.

It doesn't matter if this is wrong.
There are no right answers.

Stars in the sky exploding
Space and time folding
Bombs going off as the galaxy rips
Flashing lights fight to eclipse

Visions full of fluorescence
At the sacrifice of a solar systems essence
Shooting stars cry across the skies
Puncturing planets as they pulverize

Swirls of liberation
Celestial bodies melting in devastation
Swarms collect and deform
Exploding into storms as they transform

The aura of the aurora bleeding like mascara
As if the planet is crying at the end of an era
Watching as black holes fight over vibrant sights
Pulling it apart as it ignites

What a wonderful curse
To befall the universe
It's so beautiful its cryptic
God bless a life so apocalyptic
Front Page!!! I hope to god this poem becomes more popular then "chorus of a love song" because that does not deserve to be my most popular poem.(Later) **** The Daily...Well that was my first wish that has ever came true and then some.
