I just want to

Take off my mask for a bit

And feel

How it feels

To be me
Pretend

dark night

grey sky

moon smiles

stars lie

wind whistles

trees blow

clouds shift

sun glows

light shines

lives change

heart's full

life is strange

Sometimes, the ocean is like a soft blanket.
How deep it is varied in your dreams
And the gentle waves may lull you to sleep.
It's comforting to think that you're not drowning.

I built a fortress for my soul
a place where no one else can go
to keep me safe from everyone
a place where I can be alone

but now that no one else is here
I am alone with all my fear
and in my fortress where I hide
there is a monster
deep inside
The story of a Poet,
more tragic than his words

What then in fact his deeds conscript
—his writing leaves infirm

(Dreamsleep: March, 2021)
From here to eternity,
breakfast to lunch
The distance bespoke,
new hole card to punch

As yards change to meters,
fruition in sight
All travel inherent
—day changing to night

The blossom

The flourish

Hitherto the withering

One backward glance

Time ravages beauty
