In the moonlight
Spirits of two lovers
Dance
A ghostly dance
The spirit of a senior monk
And a young woman
Dancing hauntingly
Then they kiss
And soon the appreciations
Smokey disappear
It is said that
It happens in autumn.

demonios que controlan el tiempo
amenazan con calcinar mi cuerpo
con llamas del pasado

me reconstruyen con arcilla
mezclada con cenizas

en este lugar no falta nada
a todos nos sobra poco

marcas de soga
donde antes habían besos
nos recuerdan que pasó
nada pasó

sage
your fingertips may never graze my skin
But they have already touched my soul
you know I'm yours, don't you?

Why
Can’t people
Find Happy
I mean
If life was supposed to be
All gloom and doom
Then maybe we should have
Been born in a box
Hidden away
To multiply
Our distress
Instead
We’re out there
Spouting our grief
Harboring our illnesses
And thinking
We own wisdom
When
Instead
All we need
Truly need
Is
Happy
this moment
is as brief as they say it is -
              light rain falling
              on a still lake

this moment
is as brief as they say it is -
              light rain falling
inviting this earth and its inhabitants
              to wake

                                 to wake

                                                        to wake
i hope
that every evening
after coming home
when i look at myself in the mirror
to find a poem.
to find my curls alive,
to look at them and see the story that today told:
the times the wind kissed the strands
and the hands i love touched my head.
the times i laughed and tossed my head back,
unraveling the waves, welcoming the mess, welcoming the joy.
to find my eyes alive,
tired, maybe, but alive,
that they, too, share the story today told:
the times i closed my eyes in gratitude,
the smiles i smiled with them,
the stars and fire i keep in them,
the shine i cannot erase.
i hope
to look at myself in the mirror,
my face a giveaway
that today i was alive.
