and maybe
the moon mourns the sun
for their love is forbidden

they are passing lovers
in this endless endeavor
to find something visceral and real

blythe
In the stillness of the night
The stars are shinning bright
But it is the moon
I have been longing to see, soon
For it holds the beauty
That I will adore for eternity.
Just a random thought for the day.

Dagoth I Am
the moon shining,
three hours into the best part of the day and
i want to tell you that you're so pretty and
the words come out wrong and the rage gets in the way..
dead quiet you looked at me like you were looking into space.
yeah, in space noone could hear you say good bye.
but down here i shouldn't have to read it on your face.
that's not normal.
that's not right.
that's not very nice.
no, it isn't.

the moon shining down on your body.
you look so nice.
and i want to tell you, but you don't want to hear it,
and i know. you don't have to tell me twice.
but, once would be civil. the moon shining.
i got it in my brain, and i had so much to say but there was dead quiet.
you were silent. three hours into the best part of the day.
and that's not normal.
that's not right.
that's not very nice.
no, it isn't.

and that's not normal.
that's not right.
that's not very nice.
no, it isn't.

EJ Aghassi
blinded by the light
or the drugs in my eye
distracted by the waves
enchanted by the breeze

there is redemption in
moments like these

I see a sun of welcome
warmth skip across the
top of the ocean's head

the rocks that have been
the end to many friends
now lay there docile again

my soul is floating, I think,
out there in wondrous
solitude, amidst the
romantic expansive blue

Tom t
in the stillness of a wintry
December moonlit night
is when i think the loudest
I lay, howling at the moon
as my friendly, gray wolves do

perched on a mountain top
their howls harmonized
familiar yet eerie
appealing yet revolting
we draw closer yet withdraw
from their vicious cries

only the gray wolves know
their unvarnished message
of their synchronized howling
just as i know hidden
behind my barking
is you

Fey Torres
He wrapped his arm around my back...a little lower than usual
My chills already met my neck, and oh god I hope this isn't crucial
I think I want to let it happen
I won't let it be a habit
My heart racing fast beat upon beat
My knees fall weak when our breaths meet,
His big brown eyes staring straight into mine
I'm letting his hands slide..
Only to see, what so interesting?
He whispered to me "Are you ready?"
Like the rush of my blood running through my veins
The girl in my head told me I was insane..
I let him in, I did it anyway.

And I loved every single part of it.

Metanoia
the full moon taunts me from above
like a frightened cop's flashlight
blinding, ready to pounce
"alone again, are you?" the moon scoffs
"yes," I reply
"by choice?"
"I'm a bit worn down, moon, to tell you the truth. I don't know if I'm capable of going out and pretending to be something I'm not anymore. I'd rather be by myself, honestly"
the moon pauses
and pauses some more
before it speaks
"then you shall become like me. viewed from another world, trapped in plain sight. although some find you beautiful, they'll never be able to touch you, to know you. I was once like you before I ended up here. it gets cold. enjoy being in the light of others. you don't need to be anything you're not. I sometimes wish I was the sun but there are things we can't become"

AllAtOnce
The light in her soul and the sparks in his eyes
Like the stars and the moon that come out at night
The sky in its never ending glory tries to keep them apart
But there's so many places to hide in the dark

The constellations carry their whispers across the skies
And the clouds report back to their master but all they tell are lies
Because one could never see a more perfect heart
Than that of the moon and its stars

Every once and a while the moon has to come out during the day
And the stars have to explode because a sacrifice needs to be made
They can't escape the sky but they can keep their space
And nothing can be heard if there's nothing to say

Juneau
Descending December
the sun fades to its last burning ember
distant days of August we vaguely remember
with food running low from the harvests in September
can we hunt enough to feed each and every member

how many will we lose within our little commune
and to think there's still two months until the Hunger Moon

Magnificent May
I ask for you and begin to pray
bring to us your warmth and lengthen the day
for I fear we can no longer survive in this way
we've already lost great numbers leaving my people in dismay

The howls roll in from the hills and I feel like a complete buffoon
did I truly believe this prayer could hold off the Wolf's Moon

Traveler
The Moon and her stars
The Sun and his rays
In lover's pursuit
For all of their days
A Star is born
In eternal light
Flickering dreams
Strive to take flight

In proximity of
The Giver of Life
She spins in dark skies
The goddess of night
In the absence of
Her lover's smile
The howls of doom
Greet the wild

The promise of heaven
Was not his to give
Two hearts lost forever
And so shall we live...
Ode to... The Moon of course!.
