Haydn Swan
The alchemist,
See's what others do not see,
Finds peace in the pursuit of their quest,
Endeavors to do what others say cannot be done,
Thinks internally and is not swayed by the views and opinions of others,
Knows that the path is more important than the goal.

Unwanted
Lifes not fair to us
we live each day waiting till the night
so that the dark can hid
our insecurities

Lifes not fair to us
because the reasons to die
out way the reasons to live
we live on the edge
and each night we dig our nails in
in an effort to hang on

Lifes not fair to us
each morning we wake up trying to hid who we are
with makeup
each day we agree to whatever they say
and we fear the day we will be alone
because following is the only thing we have ever known

Lifes not fair to us
I cant stop the words before I speak
my fist seem to have a mind of thier own
and i turn for help
but im all alont
all the kids it hits can run away
but i cant drown out the monster inside of

Lifes not fair to us
We turn for help and everyone turns away
so we search for love in the wrong place
and people call us a disgrace
tell there children to look away

Lifes not fair to us
but all we are trying to do is replace
the love no one ever gave

Those endorphic nights,
wrapped like snakes,
Shared blood in one soul,
we made our promise, carved it in stone,
now it just cuts me down to the bone.

Played our end game, created the path,
‘mongst the spirits, grasping rain,
midnight tears so cold and alone,
It will always cut me down to the bone.

Haydn Swan
Watch him twist, watch him squirm,
Watch him catch the early worm,
See him writhe, see him turn,
He’ll take your soul,
then watch it burn.

Walking through autumns tears,
stooping to pick up leaves,
throwing them up in the air,
watching them fall through glinting sunlight,
holding hands, allowing our eyes to meet,
love dwelling within our souls,
no shame felt here,
this our everlasting afternoon,
but then the sky greys over,
everything turns cold,
you were never really there,
gone in a heartbeat.

Haydn Swan
Searching for you but your never around,
looking for release but it's not easily found,
bottles all empty,  I’m running on air,
smoke after smoke, my lungs want to tear,
need some kind of redemption,  it’s time to leave,
make a fresh start some sort of reprieve,
but everywhere I look is just a chapter in a book,
and as each page gets turned another bridge is burned.

This life, this love, this death,
all have meaning yet all fade into the jaded darkness that lays on the other side of our sunlit morning,
touching the untouchable,
reaching through the veil,
our dreams carry us forward as if resting on an ancient burial raft,
gently drifting down the stream into a unseen oblivion.

All we could ever hope to have been is uncoiled before us like a python caught in the mid day sun,
laid bare, a naked shame for all to see,
yet in all of this we bask in the warmth of our discovery,
sanctified in our own existence,
parity of the soul and all deeds are done.

Haydn Swan
Would that these sounds inside my head stop, for the briefest of moments,
for if it was so that I could just hear your voice one more time,
I would listen like a child in incumbent solitude,
as if to a mothers soothing voice,
reading never ending stories,
and if time would hold back these autumn tears,
I would breath again, feeling the cold, crisp air enter my lungs as a soothing balm,
healing my wounds and making me whole.

Haydn Swan
The cold grey of a January morn,
reflecting my spirit so utterly forlorn.
Was it pain I felt when I watched you leave,
or a chance for freedom and some small reprieve.

Only  Silence remained, as you closed the door,
heard your footsteps fade, like the waves on the shore.
Love never lingered, nor heard my plea,
it could only tear asunder,  in its bid to be free.

Now time owns my soul but you have moved on,
You embrace this new stranger and say he’s the one,
and if ere I wish the clock hands would turn,
to those flames of desire, where our passions did burn.

Now all I claim is this house full of tears,
with its memories and dust marking the years,
and my spirit remains forever bereft ,
of those things that you stole on the day that you left.

life moves on and we find new paths, meet new friends and love will inevitably spring forth again but some things remain forever embedded within the darkest depths of the soul.
