The Wanderer
As I left work that night and started heading home
On foot, as I always do
Unbeknownst to me
Something was lurking from within my deepest cores

It made itself known
After I had passed the point of no return
It started subtle and increased in intensity

A beast inside that I had contained for so long
Was trying to make it's way out

The harsh reality of this circumstance hit me hard
Sweat pouring down my brow
I picked up the pace
I just need to make it home!
This cannot happen right now!!
No no NO!!!

Keep going
Don't stop
Don't turn back

Will I make it?
Is this really happening?
I understood that this was all my fault
I should have known better but I did it anyways
Although I didn't realize it at the time,
Reality would bring me to this very point

Either an act of a higher power
Or unused karma come to save the day
I made it home with the beast still contained

The reality of eating too much spicy food and having to **** was real
I almost didn't make it

how did we go
from popsicle-stained tongues
to ink-stained hands
to blood-stained tiles?
where did we go wrong?

i guess she got under my skin
and i tried to cut her out
maybe by the time i wake up
i'll have bled her out of my system

We hang
precariously
by the lies
we present as truth.

Dispensing tainted words
we thought inconsequential.
Ill-conceived notions
we sowed and nurtured.

But now we dangle
by the skin
of our fingers over this cliff...
Desperately clawing
to find purchase...
And gravity is a
mean *****.

When I needed words of encouragement
I came to you, vulnerable and broken
Instead of lifting me up
You cut me down
Your words were like a razor-blade had spoken

When I looked to you for guidance
I came to you, open mind and open heart
Instead of showing me the way
You snapped at me
Your words were the teeth of a shark

When I really needed someone to be there
I came to you, so I didn't feel so alone
Instead of being someone to lean on for support
You let me fall
Your words were like rocks thown

I had been alone the entire time
You had been by my side

When I needed you the most
You abandoned me

Left to figure it out on my own
It didn't take long
Before I knew I was better off
Without your negativity in my life

But I now know
I need to take more time
Before making a woman my wife!

Seal off all the bad memories
Push them aside
And forget the loneliness
That kept you locked away

Feeling what it felt like
When sunshine touched you after so long
And you felt warm again

After letting yourself feel once more
Staying headstrong and moving forward
Never giving credence
To the pain that bound you before

Letting your past self die
So you can be born again anew

The next time dark clouds emerge again
And begin to darken your day
The beast within you will defeat the beasts
That carry doubt on their backs
Because you took all their power away
The day you understood your own strength

All you can do now is keep moving forward
Never stopping to look back

Under the thick dreadlocks of tangled forest trees,
gathering wind swirls with a desire uncontrollable
whispers  wildly wicked things, intensely  stimulating,
in to his ears, when she stood leaning over him, like a vine.

He had an impulse wrong to control this sudden whim,
not fully understanding where from the mind of the forest
it comes, though this yearning from the deep, is elysian,
he doubts, will this coiling up serpentine lust stifle love?

From head to toe, she was trembling like a leaf in wind,
and he thinks what's for her to fear, at this moment,
when he looks in to her burning dark eyes, a tremor
wakes up the dumb lover, he sees the reason of her sighs,
and involuntary rocking and grinding of *****, in rhythm.
They tumble on the grass, at that instant, rolling on he finds
himself riding a wave, that behaves as if it will decide the rest.
transformation from love's flight of fancy to the salacious  explorations
is a moment often embarrassing to look back..

There was a space inside of me
Hidden from even myself
I didn't realize it existed
Until you came along
And then I knew

That space had been there and empty
Waiting for you because you were the perfect fit

You made me understand
That I had been empty and incomplete
For the longest time until I met you

You are my best friend, my lover, and my muse
I think there might be a point
To all of this madness we call living
If happiness like this is something true

You make me believe
Anything is possible

Loving you is like,
Kissing broken glass
Pain felt,
A swift kick in the ***
You know I'll be right there,
To beg you for more
Please kick me harder,
I haven't yet hit the floor
I need some more,
Of that pain you give
Its an addiction,
I need it to live
Please hit me again,
Right in the heart
I don't want it to end,
Can I press "restart"?
You know I love it
When your shards cut deep
So much so,
I feel it in my sleep
Yes dear,
Your pain, I can't pass
Please, kick me again
Right in the ***

rained-on parade
I love you
the way the sun
burns the earth
for it to rain again.

Watching her get ready
Staring into the mirror
Putting on her makeup
And fixing her hair
The mirror knows as I know
Of them all, she is the most fair

She is more than easy on the eyes
But her real beauty
Within the temperament of her heart it lies

She leaves an emptiness in her absence
And steals the show in her presence
There are many reasons to miss her when she is gone

She is the definition of true beauty
I love her for her
And she loves me for me

my locker is cleaned out
i have
deleted the documents
on my desktop
my uniforms are washed
and waiting for
the next new employee
tomorrow will be another day
and i won't be here

it turns out
i am leaving
as noteless
as i came
