I pick up the pen
and I write
because I need
to bleed my emotions
on paper and sometimes I
write
just for the hell of it and sometimes
I write because I just need
to talk to someone anyone
I just need to talk.

Ciel Noir
a veil of ice
across my soul
so I control
how much you know

a smooth façade
a cool veneer
that isolates me
from my fear

I am afraid
when you get close
can you see into me?
almost

if you are warm
the ice will break
and take you
to the strangest place
we have new bird boxes up
ready for the spring
meanwhile autumn comes gentle

one breath of leaves across the way

it is a tiny garden out back
overlooking the grave yard

where the men mowed the grass
stopping a while
leaning on rakes

watching the weather

Sitting alone
in the hush of the bamboo grove
I thrum my lute
and whistle lingering notes.
In the secrecy of the wood
no one can hear --
Only the clear moon
comes to shine on me.

Noah weeps
His face is the Arroyo of the desert
His hands have a stigmata
of splinters torn
from building his enormous ship.
His feet stand between the
Devil and the deep blue sea.
Charybdis and Scylla

The children of his future *****
have drowned in doctrine,
the animals he carefully chose
and placed in his craft's stalls
gone extinct.

He weeps bitter gall
and vinegar.
Hardened by hubris
his future progeny posture.
Poetry is the psalm of the
posers, the ocean
only a place of
plastic shoals.

You place the ark in a bottle.

Hold fast, ye ship of fools!
Stay your course.
You're trapped by your
own nets...

Lie in the sea you sprawl out
for others.

Your brine dungeon
awaits.

I'm from the future
   I'm from the past
   time is relative
   slow and fast
   I love my life but
   I'll be leaving soon
   chasing desires to the
   dark side of the moon.

Using the intellect
to understand God
A circle unending
no light in the fog

Our mind like a hammer
to pry and to nail
Constrained by our motion
and destined to fail

But deep in our essence
that we’ve named the soul
A voice is there calling
a bell waits to toll

To ring in tomorrow
with songs of today
Proclaiming the music
—our spirit’s ordained

You are where I want to be
You're my best friend
The one who knows me better than me
You've always had this way of looking past the mess that is me
Into my heart, my soul, you see infinity
I never see judgement or fear in your eyes
I see compassion and kindness
The longing I feel, your patience I see
You have and would wait eternities for me
Ever familiar, forever home
Never wavering faith, strong
The solid ground to my constant shifting sands
Arms that feel like home, like they won't ever let me go
Fingertips play me like a piano
Hands so strong and powerful, yet touch me soft as an angel
Lips that kiss life back into my spirit
A tongue that speaks no evil or lies
And a smile like the most beautiful sunrise
You give me warmth and wealth
Give me dreams and hope
Give me fame
Give me love and soul
Give me *** and art
Give me everything possible
You entertain my broken soul
Entertain my faith
Entertain this life
Teach me my own ways
Teach me my beliefs
Teach me what I'm not
And what I'll never be

The frequency of my love
Is in the strokes of my heart
Beating in atonement
With my music and my art

Lifting ever higher
The vibration of my will
I have come to realignment
Where peace is all that’s real!
