on a day hanging in haze
the crow sits glum on a perch

do the flying pairs overhead
remind it of the lost mate
and in the midday lull
it feels a vacuous dullness
when even the search for food
seems purposeless?

i feel a stab of pain inside

whoever goes first is lucky
not so the one left behind

maybe the wings are now too heavy
for the bird to fly into the sky

when youths fall in love,
some venture a lifetime worth
of a love story to tell,
from youth to centenarians,
love never seems to die
love never seems to imbalance,
'til death do they part, with a happy sigh.

but some youths fall in love,
and venture young tragedy
losing themselves for temporary happiness
but who are we to take these away
if love is such a beautiful thing
that makes living life more worthy.

I know it's all our mistake but every punishment has a limit
but this your punishment has crossed all the limits
Every punishment has a purpose and we understood that, is we should not harm the nature
But please now stop it........

sometimes when reality
makes you sad,
the good memories of your past
is enough to make you happy.

Channel all your pain
to the summoned fields of my sun-baked heart

let me be your long-suffering, xeriscaping soil
--once rain-fed by this love--

now as parched as
Atacama

the plateau where we bowed our heads
and pleaded for mere drops of forgiveness
BLT's new challenge- to write a poem using the Merriam- Webster word of the day, xeriscape.

Sometimes the pain is so intense
That people forget to smile
Sometimes you're so tired
You lose all the interest
Sometimes the wait is so long
Your words value doesn't matter
Sometimes your body doesn't
Carry the weight which normally carries
