My mask is made up of elaborate lies
If anyone found out what rests beneath,
There would be... everything to despise.

It gets heavier every single day
With each untruth put to make it strong
It's so difficult to keep it away.

Will I ever detach it from me?
Could I perhaps learn to breathe again
To live away from the misery?

It’s time
to take this paper
And tie it off around my arm
Until the vein is protruding

With my pen
I’ll penetrate my soul
Letting the ink flow

Allowing it
To erase everything I know
So I can escape the stress

And
reminisce
On the youthful bliss
Of ignorance

The rain is here, it's wet, please don't leave me.
It makes the world look dull, it light's up ours.
Thunder rumbles, it's cold, I need to breathe.
Sleepy, but free, I can stay up for hours.
It's too quiet, I want something better.
It rains all night, please let the clouds hang low,
Please let the trees dance, they will send letters.
Rain makes art, so does the sky, a faint glow.
It's real, but it looks fake, but I see the truth.
The sky is crying, the doors are creaking,
What about the pitter-patter on the roof?
We smile as it falls, the roof is leaking,
Now, but I don't care, I will fall asleep
To the sound and I will have soundless dreams
Wrote this a long time ago.

The night sky lays out on its trampoline bed
With all it's stars and nebula friends
Looking down into eyes
Streaming looks pouring out
In admiration it is thus
How the night sky wishes upon us
That it had such strong feelings felt

The sky envies my friends
It told me so
