If
ANY little
Word
of  ours
Can Makes
ONE life
The brighter
If
Any little
SONG
WE sing
Can make
One heart
The lighter
GOD
Help us
TO Speak
That little
Word
Find
Our voice
Rejoicing in
Our singing
Then
drop it
In some
lovely SOUL
And set the
ECHOES
ringing
Hallmarks of life

Come explore my fantasy with thrills and spills galore.
Let’s check our inhibitions and our morals at the door.

It's colorful and vigorous (No "Fifty Shades of Gray").
The safe word will be "rainbow"...(You won't need it anyway.)

Because this fantasy's a realm where denizens can dwell
In peace and love and kindredship, where greed has lost its spell.

Within this dream of dreams we'll find our secret heart's desire.
And with it will come happiness that sets the heart afire.

A time to wake from bitter dreams and steer a course of grace.
And with this resolution, any crisis we might face.

I’m showing my age with this one,
(like it’s a secret). Lol

Can’t tell me not to dream.

Look inside girl
Let the sound take you away”

Sometimes
Some relationship
Doesn’t workout ,
          Simply
Because
           Sometimes
We are giving things
In our lives
Way before we are
           Ready
To receive them
         And
Sometimes they
         Just
    not for you
       To keep.

The years add up
But you never truly forget
Just cover it up
with leaves, some brush
an old sheet or blanket
A drive
a new route around
Sometimes an old box in a closet
or under a bed work fine
to hide the time

until the winds of seasons change
bare it all again

..and there's never any tissues around

I miss finding your hair
On jumpers you had never worn,
I miss the way our chargers
Plugged in together at the wall.
I miss the way you looked at me
When now all I see is scorn
I miss the way you seemed to care
The way we stood against the storm.

I miss feeling as if I had worth,
Finally, I wasn't alone on this earth.
I miss huddling for warmth,
Cuddling, chocolate and the hearth.
I miss you when we had heart
The days I would drive you home in the dark.
I miss the days I was by your side
Shoulder there every time you cried.
I miss not being miserable,
I miss wanting to be alive.
Mostly I miss being missed by you,
That sweet lie of I love you to.

a week ago on sunday
i witnessed my brother marry
the love of his life

it rained

and it was beautiful

and it reminded me
that life is short
and wonderful

and maybe i should start

living instead of writing poems.

maybe i should start
taking wonderful opportunities
with you.

Your body is not the forgiveness lost men need to find themselves.
What a wicked way to treat the girl
who loves you
As if you could see the light
to bathe your secrets
In the space between her thighs-
that you could find forgiveness in between the notches of her spine.
She tastes of honey suckle and smells like summer rain
but she'll never be able to coat the ash clinging to your throat.
Or wash away the ache that's settled into your bones-
She's like sweet torture
something you can touch but never truly keep-
You have spent far too long in the darkness to do anything but try and steal her light.
So I beg of you
-let her go-
Because when she finally figures out you used her as convenient, as easy, as a way to dull the pain-
she'll have to find her own forgiveness and have no time for yours.

- She let you into her heart into her body and she will spend a very long time trying to forgive herself for what you broke.

A book says,
"Read to get away."
A pen says,
"Write to be reminded."
The mind says,
"I live to reminisce."
And the heart says,
"I am always at stake."
