Alice Lovey
I live here within the lives that do not belong to me.
Here is where I turn a page and find all your mysteries.
You share with us your poetry;
We raft on treasured wordy seas.

I speak with water,
Because I'd seen it so.
I'm soaking wet with wonderment,
Caught up in rhythmic flow.

We profess our admiration,
We counsel our critique,
We remember the lines you crafted,
As we get ourselves through the week.

Please, give us your inspiration;
We strive on borrowed phrases.
Please, continue writing.
We leave you with our praises.
I am trying to experiment more and more with different poem structures and themes. I felt compelled to write this after scrolling through the front page.

I don't know if anyone else really feels this way, but I love reading through profiles/the front page and getting inspired of lines, themes or phrases they use.

find a lover who writes you sonnets
who uses the darkest flecks of your eyes as ink
and the shades of your skin as paper
writing along the edges of your wrists and arms
with tongue and teeth
with purpose, truth, and love

find a lover whose heart sings to yours
a pianissimo summer sonata, dolce
using their words sotto voce against your ear
melodiously humming against your body
with their lips pressed to your neck
with passion, fire and tenderness

find a lover who creates art
using line weight in colloquy and canvas alike
to paint you with diamonds, as they see you
watch them carve your essence
with rainbows and pearls
with intensity, feeling, and beauty

find a lover who gives to you
who presents all the joys of life
unselfishly and without expectation
and when they give freely and openly
ensure that you, too, become a lover
who writes, sings, creates, and returns
Tonight is the moment that we
Both wanted so to know every way
We are within all we dreamed of
Opening  our souls doors and play

Tonight we'er all we can be and more
Tonight we are allowed to be one
No thoughts of anything else exists
We'er every full moon every morning sun

We'er both within each other stars above
Wondering how we existed without such love
Giving more wanting more being more
As we become as lifes hand in glove

Outside the world does not exist in any way
This is our heaven plus an ounce of hell
Perfect rhythum timing moving moments
Only within each other does our being dwell

Our hearts are of one heart our very souls one
With all we are could ever be in all sincerity
Finding energies we never knew we had
Within our attic we are locked as one completely

The moon looks different now
It seems much brighter here
It sheds a clearer light
On the nights spent on the rooftop
I can finally see what I was hiding
The feeling words failed to describe

My fingers curled
Hands clutching a hard truth

A chord was struck
Cold air penetrating my lungs
And I feel like this might last forever

Stephen E Yocum
Two aging message senders
and receivers, circumspect
men of reflective thoughts
and words spoken, written.
Wayfarers from divergent
oceans converging.

Both Harpooners of the
unexamined life, seekers
of truths and wisdom.
Kindred spirits different
and yet the same,
A spiritual awakening,
a brotherly bond in the making.

Both touched and renewed
by a voyage taken
upon a common sea
of curious self discovery.
For Nat and his effort to cross a
continent to extend the hand
of friendship and discover "Oregun."
