S Olson
loneliness sits like an island of cold feet;
loneliness stirs like a maelstrom
of hot knives;
when I am touched
either gently,
or forcefully,
all of my ‘heart’
flees the blanket of intimacy.

It is much easier
being alone.
It gets much harder
most every day;

but today
a stranger
with a face like an alabaster rose
walked past me, smiling coyly,

and I wept,

unraveled

to be ravaged,
to be loved.

I could change
if it didn't cost me my life.
I could bend to your will
and be perfectly out of my mind.
i could trade on my skin
for the surface you like.
and be ****** if i do -
and just your type.

Grand edifices, seem pretty nice
Hoarding up money, such a heist
Pockets full, everything to boast
All that luxury, all that toast

Curtains of wealth, over those eyes
Trapped in such a state of vice
Stockpiles of silver and gold
Deal, a sign, everything sold

Wealth in reality, zero a price
Counting em, this year x thrice
Pretending to be above n bold
The stiff heart you couldn't mould

Crawling over body, ants and lice
Scorpions too, it's nothing nice
Shivering with fear and cold
The pain, agony, all foretold

In the grave, horrendous mice
Game's over for the rolling dice
No one to tell, weren't you told
To that paper now grab a hold

May it be Burj khalifa, all those malls
The huge tall towers, everything falls
Sabotag shall suffer those proud walls
(Awaits!)
The vast stage, superior than all halls

The stars were just plain stars
Until one night you sat beside me
And together we watch them dance

A flower was simply a flower
Until the day you gave me one
And put some on my messy hair

A coffee is just a mere coffee
Until one fine morning
You made one for me

The night, the morning
The summer, the spring
It’s all different

The cold, the rainy days
The oceans, the places
It’s all different

Everything, yes everything
Everything is different
Everything is so so so so much different
When it’s you I’m with :)
Or shall I say, better? :)

I've held it up
Born to be tough
I suppose not enough love
I was trained to never give my energy
Now I stand unbold
My story was written
Do I give in
Instead I drink all night
Smash the cake
Take what is mine
Cry once a day and walk away
I'm hard to find
So keep me in mind
