She captures autumn
in a jar
reads the moon's straying
through leaf and branch

Always in love
with love
and always reeling
from the loss

What wave tossed this refugee
ashore?
What alignment
of stars and planets
of uncountable galaxies
brought this woman
to this world and not another?

A simple truth will tell.
The moon at high tide
hides beneath her skirts.
A slight disturbance
in the silken fabric
of space and time
and all is lost
all is born.

I hold my hands out
palms up
in prayer and thanks
every day
to mark the blessing
to place a peg
in the whole.

Given to all
denied to none
and mysterious to most

Life pours out of
a hole in the sea
leaves nothing
and everything
to chance.

This blessed world.

All laid out,
A shirt, a cardigan, a pair of jeans.
It's all been sorted,
The name, an explanation, a key.
Everything is ready,
Except me.

I was ready,
I planned for months, far too often.
I've waited so long,
Hoping for this day, and now it's here.
Everything is ready,
Except me.

I know it's fine,
Nothing will go wrong, I'm sure of it.
But still the doubt,
The fear never leaves, what if they hate?
Everything is ready,
Except me.

My arms shake,
Not cold, not shocked, paranoid.
But I close my eyes,
Breathe deep, empty my mind, and hear:
"Everything is ready,
Are you?"

Yes. It's time.

My love is for her
My love is for her heart
My love is for happiness
Love is our strength together
Love is what’s deep
In side of each other's hearts
I truly love you.

webs were spun
in a tangle
each spider adding
more to the ravel
gossamer threads
all confused*
quite interesting
was this muse
others were invited
into the spinning hub
after a time
crowding
took place
which resulted in
a fractious stir
the once happy
web builders
couldn't get along
their community
dissolved
on the intertwisting

On one summit
Among the myriad
Mountains

Ups and downs
Of the hiker

Crawling valley
Pilgrimized

Leaping crevass
Energized

Climbing huff-
Puffing

Downslope
Freewheeling

Each dawn
Each sunset

Uniquely
Surprized

Me
I think this body that I see
Is me
But I know
That my big toe
Is not ‘Me’
And I know
My right knee
Is not the ‘Me’
That I see
And I know
My nose
Is not the ‘Me’
That I see
All the little bits of ‘Me’
Are not ‘Me’

How can this be?

betterdays
i stand in the shallows
of my memory
casting a spiderweb line
back into
the earlier years,
the murky depth
of the old brain pond
looking for that
elusive memory
of when......when.......when

life was simple,
somehow, more complete
with days of sunshine
and butterfly grace
that flew on by,

when grass smelt greener
skies were blue and
there was always much to do

the future was out there, past the horizon
a thing that was too far away to ponder on

they were the days,
the beautiful days
I know I  dream of.

to recapture my youth.....

but all I can now do,
is cast about in memories
and hope to find myself
an elusive rainbow trout....

Of nothing
Babbling, scribbling
Child of
No thought.

Within complete freedom
I offer this poor
Song to no-one in
Particular

With great
Love and compassion
For all the sufferings

There are two of me out running loose
One that tries to do what's right
While the other acts the fool
It's been that way from the beginning
A smorgasbord of who is who
With the two of me out running loose

There are two of me with nothing new
One that says yes I can
With the other never sure what to do
While one is often called the winner
The other is bound to lose
With the two of me there's nothing new

There are two of me feel free to choose
The one that's made to play it straight
Or the other, cannon loose
You can clearly see the difference
There's no need for a clue
With the two of me feel free to choose

There are two of me and one of you...

every day there's millions propagating*
propagating young for human survival
survival of mankind lies in future births
births fertile by score sheet number

these cherished gems a large bounty
bounty of potential covering the earth
earth requires them to also populate
populate with treasures of life

the expiring old replaced by the new
new vitality bequeathed on our planet
planet replenished in fresh living beings
