Be it lions and tigers
Or sharks and whales
There's no way around
This trip through hell

So lock and load
Your heart and soul
Take your aim
And let love flow

In this life
You can never win
If you don't get out there
   And try again...

We come as we please
And we leave on the breeze
Away........

Distance
As an image of warm blue air
The ***** man denies seditious writhings
Coming in proud bursts of creation
Irrespective of soil or culture
Bursting thirsting creation
Heathen fertility
Haphazard geography
Lust of life beyond life

Screaming gadgetry can cowards make
Tight cages can our spirits break
But love is broad and clean
Fickle and immortal
The soil from whence we came
Without permit or permission
With honour and with relish
The ***** man denies nothing
Not one word at all

And on and on
The fairground moves on
Away

The valley sleeps but I cannot, I sit upon a rock,
So weary from all my days of toil and thought,
The moon's light caresses you, mighty one—
River will soon carry me down, and you will rise.

I pray this day carries a blessing
With tender arms that embrace you
That you learn from all its lessons
As you take hold of God's truth

That as you stand on life's horizon
You sing all the songs unsung
That you catch every shooting star in passing
Every time that you look up

May every need in your life be met
May love in its love clothe you
May smiles turn up when your name is mentioned
As each day is made brand new

I pray you always find your way
Whatever direction you are tossed
And the faithful truth that grounds you
I pray it never will be lost

When your train pulls into the station
May it always be on time
With every turn that you are taking
May life's treasure be what you find

As each day carries a blessing
With tender arms that embrace you
Learning from all life's lessons
Standing firm on all God's truth

Pathways opened
through doors unhinged

Journey travelled
with roads unworn

Magic unbound
from spells unchanted

Heartbeats birthed
but the heart's unborn

Verses recited
from a poem unpenned

A song sung
but lyrics unwritten

A dance performed
with routine unrehearsed

Feelings perceived
through words unspoken

I wish you could feel the hurt,
Not pain;
The thud and drumming of absence,
The waiting, listening, and loss of hope,
Silent, dull and lasting.
It's noticeable in my eyes and voice;
I see it when I shave,
In the clothes I wear.
It lies on me like a rash I can't scratch.
I look average. I look normal.
That's the hurt I wish for.

A lovely breeze flows
through my half open windows.
I stand by the grill,
pretend to have strong will,
to stay in my senses,
to stay alive in coming darkness
.

It has been long,
I hear echo of that dull song
while I still stand by the grill
and let time fill
the emptiness within me.

Walking on the roads,
I pass shops and bill boards
selling happiness in everything
as though items can bring
back contentment to you,
replace the warmth of a lost soul
with an object cold and new.

I have failed over a hundred times
took the wrong turn after a long mile,
tried to make way after dead ends,
always trying for that smooth bend.

I feel today,
I need to make a new way.
I am that same soul
with an old habit of setting new goal,
with a heavy heart,
with an anxious mind
,
plan a new beginning
on this lonely Sunday evening.
Some random directionless thoughts, never know what to get out of these.
