I have never forgotten the valley of your neck
Or what it tastes like to love you.

There are nights
When I just want to give in
Let the world swallow me
And erase everything
I've fought to become

There are nights
When I'm lonlier than others
I drift along my bare conciousness
I see your eyes drawn out in stars
And hear you calling my name in the breeze

There are nights
When hope is nonexistant
A long forgotten memory of a dream
When I can't hold inside
Everything that threatens to spill out

Then...
There are the nights
Spent with you
And those are the kind of sleepless hours
I live for

He captured her heart
She hasn't looked back.

As we lay
Breathing each other’s oxygen
And wearing each other’s skin
You search my eyes
Asking the one question
That I can never answer you
"Why me?"
How do I tell you
That I do not know
I cannot say
What exactly
Causes my heart to race
My blood to boil
And my arms to ache for you
I cannot say what it is
That so enraptured me
In the first place
My love for you
Did not come violently
It was as gentle
As subtle
As calm
As the stroke of a butterfly's wing
Quietly it captured me
Folding me inside it's self
And I was consumed
But not destroyed
I chose to jump
But had no choice in falling
I cannot say why I love you
I like to think it is the little things
The rich sound of your laugh
A deep rumble in your chest
The way your fingers dance across the keys
And the melody they sing
Maybe it is
The way the sun catches your lashes
And swims in your eyes
The intensity with which you feel everything
And the open honesty
That comes so naturally
Or is it
The child like curiosity
To know everything
To understand what is beyond you
The stubborn
Willful side
That refuses to stop trying
The humor and good nature
That eases any burdens on my heart
Perhaps
It is all these little things
Perhaps,
Darling,
It is simply because
You are you
And that
Is more than enough.

Blackened skies
Fold over us
Whispered fragments of hopes
Stories
And dreams
Drift across telephone lines
You watch the sun awaken
I watch as the stars come out to play
Tangled in cool sheets
And cooler pillows
I fed you bits of me
And swallowed you whole
The notes of your gentle breath
And quiet laughter
Were the  verses to my lullaby
And I
Fell in love
Falling asleep

I trace memories the way I used to trace your lips
I hold pillows tight to my chest at night
The way I still haven't gotten to hold you
I whisper fragments of poems to myself
The way I used to whisper them in your ear
I still do all the same things I used to do
Hoping it will be enough
Until you come home again

Dawn
I know the secret the grass whispered to the stems who told the leaves who told the flowers, that told the bees.
The bees then whispered it to the trees who told the wind who told the sky that told the sun and later that night the moon.
The moon then whispered to the stars that twinkled in unison, as I looked at the night sky,  I whispered, "What is the secret of life, dear Universe."
And then I heard, with my heart, "I am you." <3
Which I whispered to the rich earth.

O’ custodians of poetry
Gather all at the Poet’s hall
Take a pledge to write
Poetry shall flow endlessly
Creativity shall never end
Our words shall birth future poetry
Prayer to our Muse
For the flow of inspirations
We can make harmony
When poets gather in unison
Poetry will be enriched
With the feelings and emotions
Poetry shall inspire the poetic minds
To come out of the slumber
Here, poetic world beckons
Creativity is a talisman
O’ custodians of poetry
Listen to this prayer
