I never asked for flowers,
make sure to tell everyone that I hate them because they just die.

Why keep something beautiful just to see it die?

I never asked for much,
at least I never thought I did.

You made simple things seem like it was asking for the moon,
a simple phone call,
any sort of confirmation that you were still alive.

You gave me ******* promises and endless lies,
but covered it up nicely with a Tiffany necklace.

I hate flowers,
their beauty fades fast until they are withered away and dead.

I hate you,
the beauty of us faded, albeit not too fast, but it withered away and died.

soul peeled
layers open;
blood or metal?
who gives a ****,
they taste the same.

betterdays
i stand for a while,
ankle deep,
in the soft sinking sand,
at the tip of the tides reach.
the final inches of
the curlique wavelets
wash over my feet
and take with them,
on their return to
the brotherhood of
salt and water,
my footholds.
the water, refreshingly
cold on this hot muggy
summer afternoon.
i wade further in to
the calmer wash area,
after the waves have broken,
to about mid thigh
before
i dive shallowly through
the caesious waters
of the green room's
breaking waves,
and swim out,
to beyond the rise
and swell of surf.
to float in the
embryonic embrace
of the sea
my heart sings
with primal joy
at the saltinate communion.
after time slows, sufficiently,
i return to the beach.
and stand in
the pressing warmth,
with rivulets
of my mermaid self
dripping onto the sand.

Time long past to cuddle another
us Viking warriors long past drunk
a pillow to rest the head and sleep
for centuries or a week or another
pm
Everything feels different at night
Lonely yet creative
Sad yet optimistic
Tired...yet alive
voices rise from the cold earth
like necromancy, like apotheosis
calling your name in tritone
calling your name in screams

dark magic anchors me here;
my toes break and grow long
and root me to the earth
my skin hardens;
my knees lock like a trunk
and i sprout leaves from my fingers
i sing flowers from my tongue

your ashes have built me,
a fusion of grave-dirt and beating heart,
and i feel you in me now
more than i ever did before--

you are breaking out of heaven
you are breaking in to my body
you are breaking metaphysics
                                       to break me

                                       (to save me)

vultures and phoenixes fight on my branches

and i will harbor you
when you come all the way home
