My brothers were remarking I've had more beaus than most...

(sonnet #MMMMMMCCCCLXXXVIII)

La, how Vivaldi trills and capers thence
When I am on the run, like to avail
Me is a chancy thing for all he'd hail
In, erm, my absence.  And oh! these skies wear hence
Long faces since rain swore off dawn, a sense
Of sheer foreboding in racks' blue detail,
The scanner crackling with a weary tale
My brother knew would be, and "jail" fr'intents.
Dad swears I am "subjective" as it were,
That list of boyfriends I once tripped on through
(Whereof I say "I don't know how to stir
Aught man, but I kin sure ditch lovers") to
A fault against my dearest hopes, a poor
Reminder of I can't say what.  Why, too?

It's not so much that I try to dump fellows, it just turns out that way, I dunno why.
When the moon is full
A shiny silver disc
I'd steal it and roll it along
Like a hoop with a stick
All the way to your door
And give it you as a gift

Then I'd reach up to the sky
And grab the brightest stars
I'd gather them together
And place them in a jar
So you could let them loose
When the night is dark

And when the weather's bad
And the sky is dark with rain
I'd fill my lungs with air
And blow those clouds away
Then I'd push the sun over you
So you'd come out to play

I'd knock on your front door
And greet you with grace and style
Then I'd sing and dance foolishly
Just to make you smile
In fact, I would do anything
To make you happy for a while

The mind can only think so much
Before it wanders
Before it dampens
Before it derails

The heart can only take so much
Before it withers
Before it crumbles
Before it falters

Sever the ties before they tighten
Sever the stems before they bloom
Sever this love before I shatter
Sever these memories that loom

Because the mind can only think so much
Before it wanders
Before it dampens
Before it derails

And the heart can only take so much
Before it withers
Before it crumbles
Before it falters

My pen's ink overflows for the word
"you"
Which overrated
the soul of the self-proclaimed poet
of a myth-proven word barely reciprocate
But renders the spirit of logic to resurrect
from the grave of shattered passion and innocence.
Flooded and full,
the blank sheet of paper awaits
for romantic imagery of beloved Cupid's effigy
But, then I thought
Why about love?

Traveler
Behind the clocks
Ticktock, ticktock
An immortal
Spirit dwells
No flesh that sags
Nor slowly rots
No meat on
His bones
To tell
Temporal
Disturbance
Fatigue sets in
As we scrape
The bottom of mind
Post it on your page
And now you're all in
Cursed to be
One of his kind

I will never forget all the good things my father has done for me. I love him for a lot of reasons...but one of the major reasons for which i love him is because he has taught me the 3 most valuable lessons of my life-
1)How not to treat a woman(especially if she happens to be your wife. It really pained me to say this.)
2)Your first priority in life should be to become self-independent as soon as possible.
3)Never put blind trust in anyone.
