we see the same stars
knowing somehow
the light enters
our corneas
at exactly
the same
time

yet we have such
varied ideas
about the

sky

we read the same books
the same letters which
make up the magical
ideograms we call

WORDS

yet our thoughts vary
as to meanings and
how they will
impact
us

but one thing we all
have in common

we ache to be understood
that our words adequately
describe our feelings
our hearts radiate
from the page to
enter readers
pupils like

Thank you for taking me
out of myself
and teaching me to
capture my sadness
and be
"mindful"

ALL THE BEST TO YOU, POETFRIEND!
 Feb 2016 the dead bird
bones
Falling leaves hurry to gather
at one worn headstone after another
like a funeral party uncertain where
lies the lost loved one it grieves;;

Time and wind tug on the memory
left in this absent minded cemetery
no one comes visit but weather and me
and the dead lying under the trees

have stories nobody can read.
~~~<♢>~~~
my soul got lost
somewhere within my poetry
i hope you are the
one who finds it!
haven't been reading much lately
I have too much on my mind
I am apologizing to those
who have ♡ed, reposted
and/or commented
and haven't gotten a response from me
I'm very sad about my dad right now
i am a wilted wallflower
just across the hall
deadened petals
plucked and fallen
scattered remnants
on cold stone
each discarded petiole
inscribed with simple limericks
like butterfly kisses
                              she loves me
**** the pollen
out from me
suffocating poison
trim my leaves
and shear my thorns
no longer dangerous
mold me into something
safe and harmless
                              she loves me not
rid me of beauty
bid me return
to that same dust
from whence i came
a lust overpowers
and devours all hope
so crush me between
the pages of your
favorite book
let me rest
in peace
not pieces
