Little girl, two years old.
Plays with her toys, and her life just gets better.
Sunshine and rainbows, a life filled with color.
Little girl, twelve years old.
Papa leaves, mama sinks, and life just gets sadder.
Hope in the rain, maybe life will be ok.
Young woman, fifteen years old.
Depression sinks in. Everything hurts her.
Drugs and smoking, a life filled with darkness.
Young woman sees a light.
One night in bed, a whisper in the darkness.
"You are so loved." And her life gets inspired.
Jesus the Savior gives her a purpose.
Young woman, twenty years old.
Every turn, a mission field, sharing the Gospel.
Testimony, Joy, and her life just gets better.
Loving woman, thirty years old.
A husband, three kids, a life filled with God's love.
A mission through Christ, a life of godliness.
Old woman, beautiful woman.
Broken made beautiful, a tale of true love.
She'll be in Heaven, His Kingdom Come.
Original.

if you promise you will love him,
must he also promise he will love you?
or is it that the man gets the choose
to leave if he gets tired of the toy
he bought in the clearance section,
though the “toy” was misplaced,
and was meant to be
placed with the jewelry, the diamonds
which cost more than twice his income.
you, a priceless artifact.
you don’t deserve that kind of love.
the love that enchants you,
though it was always a one-way arrow.

art is a passion, art is a feeling.
art gives wings to emotion
and allows it to fly far
out of the reach
of captivity.

it tells the soul of its longing
for solitude.
it lifts a pale hand
out of the water
and lets it sink back
into the depths
of the deep heart.

the thoughts yearn for a
better way to come out.
a way to express themselves
without the attention
of the people
upon them.
it avoids crowds, yet somehow
manages to stay sane.

art is a secret kept for many years
and hidden away from the light.
art is a girl released
into a wolf den
and expected to
return leading the pack.
art is the strong female alpha
standing before the enemy,
directing the pack to victory.
art is what it wants to be.
it commands itself to show
the deep secrets of its soul.
and it does so, but only slightly.
Original poem.
